I used to live in waynesboro but i dont know any in roanoke. There are a few girls on here from nothern va. How long have you been trying? Usaually obs dont know or do squat when it comes to fertility. I would suggest you find an reproductive endocrinolgist. Ob's will but you on clomid but they rarly moniter your cycle with ultrasounds.

I have been TTC for over 1yr now. I was diagonised with Endo at 16yrs old and have had a laposcorpy and 2 laser prodcures done and still no luck with concieveing. What Do RE Doc do? Will they do full test to check me out and see why I am not able to concieve? Will they put me on any pills?? Can you tell me what to look foward to when I make an appt? Sorry for so many questions but I have been trying for so long and I am so down about this because I feel like less of a women.

Well after a long time trying i went to my ob and told her i was having problems concieving. She laughed it off saying i was young and to come back in 2 years. This really made me upset. So i booked a appointment with an RE. RE's test you and your hubby for everything in the world that could give you problems concieving. Then they start out a plan of action. I went to my re in nov for the tests by december i was on clomid and coming in for ultrasounds so they could track my ovulation and getting inseminations (iui). IUI's are when they take the "good" sperm and inject them into your uterus so they dont have to far to travel and get lost. They will prolly put you on drugs to make you produce more eggs (so you have a better chance-and maybe twins). Then they do an ultrasound and if your eggs are ripe and ready they give you a trigger shot to pinpoint the exact time (24-36 hours after shot) you will ovulate. Then you either do timed intercourse or iui.
I know this is a lot but i was grateful my re was aggressive in my treatment. I dont wanna wait any longer.

So how much does
iui cost is it covered by insurance??
DH isn't the problem its me; he has a daughter so we know his sperm is good...

Well i have blue cross blue sheild which covers my ultrasounds bloodwork and appointments and some medications (clomid, progestrone). I have to pay for sperm washing and insemination which is about $250. This month i did injectables which werent covered which were really expensive (1000$). It really depends on your insurance. Some peoples policies cover everything.

Sorry, I can't help either. My OB/GYN that I have been going to years stopped doing OB last July. So if I ever get pregnant, I'll need to find another doc as well. I figure that I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.
