I had a "fibroid" removed on 8/02 by a hysteroscopic resection. Pathology later showed it to be an adenomyoma, which is usually stuck in the uterine wall and presents no fertility problems. However, mine was a focal adenomyoma, which is often confused for a fibroid and does cause problems with fertility because it is found within the uterine cavity. Basically, it's endometriosis INSIDE the uterus.
Anyway, that's what I know about it. I was wondering if there is anyone out there who has had andenomyosis. What type did you have and how was it treated? What affect did it or does it have on your fertility after treatment?
