My first set of 5 IUIs were $250 each. Then we switched insurance and the next set of 6 IUIs were between $1,500 and $2,000 each. My IVF was about $15,000. None of that includes meds. I really try not to add it up, though, because it's just too depressing!

You girls should all move to Australia..lol.:)
At my fertility clinic that im going to
IVF/ICSI $3000- out of pocket cost $750
AI-$695 out of pocket cost $130
Embryo freezing and storage-$250 out of pocket cost $250
sperm freezing and storage- $250 " "
surgical sperm collection-$550 out of pocket cost $550
Pre-implanation genetic diagnosis-$3000 out of pocket cost $3000
Polscope-$400 out of pocket cost $400
Everyone here has a medicare card and some of these procedures are covered by medicare. Medicare is FREE! Im not sure how it all works with the medicare but its pretty good. We havent had any treatment done yet. Df has had SA done which was also FREE! Unfortunatley No sperm was found. :(He will have another test next week. So by the looks of things we will be having IVF.
So, it seems like Fertility treatment is much cheaper in Australia :)
Oh, if you have private health care here in Aust it normally works out more expensive then if you dont have private care. I have no clue why??? it does not make sence.
Take care girls,

Wow, maybe I;m getting off cheap here. In northeast TN, the OB charges only $100 for IUI, wash included. I haven;t moved up to IVF, so I'm not sure about that price though. Wonder why such a big difference?

Hi ....

I live in California and am currently seeing an RE .

IUI: $350.00 ( x2 inseminations a cycle ) = $700.00

Sperm wash - DH sperm washing $90.00 ( x2 inseminations a cycle ) = $180.00 a cycle

U/S: $385.00 ( x multiple sessions each cycle )

Trigger Shot: HCG $50.00

Clomid: I use injectables ( Gonal F approx $1900.00 a cycle ) When I used clomid is was approx $45.00 for 5 pills

Progesterone Test 7dpo: Insurance covered that luckily

IVF:My RE said if we got to that step it would be approx $7,000 - $15,000 depending on the meds we will need , ect

ACP:I have not gone this route yet , but was quoted approx $80.00 - 110.00 a week plus the oct of herbs & vitamins and stuff.

I usually try not to add it all up cause it gets pretty depressing ( LOL )

Hi there. I am from the Toronto, Ontario, Canada area and this is what I paid in 2005:

U/S--all covered under provincial health plan
all meds--all covered by private health plans through dh and my work
IUI--$200.00/IUI--we only had to do one at that time, now protocol is calling for two successive ones per round, which will cost us $450.00 now--this includes the sperm wash.
Fertility specialist/ob visits--all covered by provincial health plan.
Can't remember if there were any other costs, except for notes/papers, etc., that ob would need to fill out for work, and that cost me I think, $150.00 out of pocket, which would never be covered by any plans.

I also go to acupuncture as required, which is partially covered by dh and my private health plans.

I am not sure what is the cost for IVF here at this clinic, as we have not had to go that route.

We have considered ourselves lucky here, as our health plans are quite good.
Beata.
