Hi All,
I just had my 2nd round of my 2nd IUI. My Re told me that I had actually released 6 EGGS! I am really hopeful, but I don't know enough about the sucess rates of IUI, can anyone provide info?? Also my DH SA was good both times 1st- 15 Million 2nd- 32 million and many eggs waiting.
Does this increase my odds of mulitiples by a lot? I have NEVER EVER had this many eggs before. The most I ever had before this was 2. This time the RE did a MICROFLARE protocol with my injectibles, hopefully it worked.
Any insight would be gracioulsy aprreciated.

What were the sizes of your follies? 6 sounds great! I had 5 when I got my bfp...I dont remember the exact sizes, but I know 2 were the "right" size and the others were considered too big or small. I started out with 2 fertilized eggs, but only one was viable. So, with your 6 and good sperm count, I hope this will do it for you!! When do you test? Keep us posted....
lots of babydust.....

Thanks for your reply. My follies were a good size. 2.0 2.3. 1.9. 1.8 2.0
Something like that. SA was 16 mil and 32 mil after wash. I have been cramping since IUI, and it feels like af type cramps.
Congrats on your BFP, maybe it will rub off on me! LOL. I go for Beta April 6, it seems so far away!
Thanks again, I will keep you posted.

Hi there! Good luck on this IUI! The first attempt I think I had 6, but unfortunately we didn't time the cycle just right and I think that only three were probably viable. On our second IUI which was successful I want to say that we had 5 good-sized eggs. As a result of that cycle we're pregnant with one little boy who we will probably name Liam Patrick. We both LOVE this name! :)

Thank you so much for the encouragement. I test on April 6 and so far I don't feel either pregnant or AF. I don't know what to think! All I know is that I hate the 2ww.
What were your first feelings that you might have been sucessful? When did you test?
Sorry for all the questions, but I am really anxious this cycle. It's the 1st time the RE has said anything positive to us.
Liam is a great name!!!! Liam's are monkey's though......be warned!

Hi! Yes, the 2ww is killer, but it does go by faster than you might think. Let's see...I was feeling pretty bloated the last week of the 2ww. DH and I went to the movies and I remember feeling that I couldn't get comfortable and had to take some deep breaths which kind of hurt. I was told that I might have mild ovarian hyperstimulation because of the follicles and to just take it easy until we knew for sure. This also occured with the first IUI and went away as soon as my period arrived. This time, however, the bloating and discomfort never went away, but did get worse. I guess that was my first hopeful sign. Still, I was almost positive that I was getting my period the last several days of the 2ww. My back hurt, I felt crampy, I was incredibly cranky, and had headaches (all the same signs as AF). In fact, I was so sure she was on her way instead of a BFP that DH and I split a sangria margarita at our favorite restaurant because I thought "why the hell not? I'm not pregnant anyway." Well, guess what? Two days later on 12dpo I got the call from the RE that we were pregnant! DH and I couldn't believe it (and then I felt guilty about the margarita, but everything is just fine!)
So, here is a list of some things to watch that coule be very good signs:
Around 7-8dpo
discomfort sitting or standing too long
trouble catching your breath
increased urination
headaches
fatigue
irritability
Around 9-14 dpo
cramps (like AF-type in the lower abdomen and/or back)
increased urination
decreased appetite
fatigue
headaches
irritability
distention of your abdomen
trouble getting comfortable
headaches
This is just what I've experienced and many people say they have little to no indicators of pregnancy at all! Good luck, and be sure to let me know how it goes. You can send me a private message too if you'd like.
PS I think that's so funny about Liam being a monkey. Unfortunately I don't think that our child will have a choice b/c DH and I were both climbers and little acrobat monkeys when we were little! You know what they say about payback as parents for our youth right?! :)

Hi Liam's Mom,
I'm not sure if my RE would continue the cycle with 6 follies big enough to release. I had 3 follies release that were 15, 16 and 17 and got BFP with twins. My DH's count was 10 million washed. I'd say that you have a very good chance of conceiving!!
Keep us posted!

Thank you all so much, for your replies. I am feeling much better. I thought it was game over when I started to cramp ever so slightly today. The list of symptoms you gave me were great to compare to my own. I know everyone's are different, but it's reassuring to know that someone else has the same thing as you, and still got their BFP!!!!
Any other tips/advice you can give?? I need all the positive vibes I can get right now

Liam's Mom,
I know that after I knew I was pregnant, but around the time AF would normally arrive, I felt twinges in my abdomen. They were different from cramps (but worried me nonetheless). The tender boobs is a big thing, too. I remember that my nipples were very hard and that is rarely a symptom of AF for me.
Good luck!

I can't really rely on the sore boobs thing, because I am on progesterone supps, and they always do it to me. As well, they give me diarheha(sp) and so I can't even tell if I am constipated. Sorry TMI.
I am just SO anxious this month. I go to the RE tom. I am going to ask that he do the beta because I will be 11 dpo and I should see something by then in the B/W.
I just can't stand the waiting this month. Besides, I would like to get my break down over with sooner, as I have to be maid of honour at BF wedding on Saturday, and would like to have good news to share with her, or at least be over the let down.
Thanks for all your support. So grateful for this site.

Hi,
You'll know by Saturday. That's good that your RE does a beta for you. My RE's office says, "Call us if you miss your period and get a positive pregnancy test." They don't do any testing for you in advance of that!!
Let us know!!
Liamsmom~Any news on your b/w???

I had 6 follies when I got my BFP. I had 4 mature (18 to 22mm). I was supposed to have IUI on 9/12/05 but DH had to go to NY for a meeting. So we bd on 9/10/05 and 9/13/05.

Hi All,
Sorry to be MIA but was Extremly busy this week. Wedding on Sat, athen started new job, had no time for anything.
But the verdict was BFN so now we are on a med break due to unreleased follicles. I am actually very glad not to be on meds this time, before I really was happy to be on injectibles but I would like my body to be "cleaned" out before starting them again. RE is monitoring this natural cycle so I will still know when I am o'ing. We have had a natural pregnancy before, so I know that I can do it.
Enough about me....how is everyone else doing? Aidan- how did the IUI fresh/frozen go???

Liam-Im glad to here from you. Fresh/frozen went HORRIBLE. The combined sample was only 4 mill...that is the worst yet. Go back today for iui2....hoping for a least 2 mil more....

My re says anything more than 1 mill is good so you had 3 more than that. I really really want this for you, you have kept may sanity more than once.
Maybe, because it's Easter you will get your miracle. What was it like today? I hope more than 2 mill.
Keep me posted, you are in my prayers tonight Sunny.
