Alona
Hi Ladies,
Jennifer: Thanks for starting the new thread! I want to see your signature page! Where is it located?
Thank you all for asking about my beta. I did have bad news yesterday but I didn't want to post it because I was thrilled with Shells being pregnant!!!
My RE called, my number didn't double, it's only 145 from 99. So, it's either a late implantation pregnancy or a chemical pregancy or an ectopic pregnancy.
I was so nauseated yesterday for some reason. The night before I didn't sleep at all. This is the rollercoaster that I didn't want to get on. I have anxiety problems and this just made it worse! I didn't even want to take my progesterone shot yesterday night, but my dh said don't make that decision. It's too early, so I thought about it, and he was right. So, he did it and I went to bed early. Today, is a new day. I am not feeling nauseated today(thank goodness.) My next beta is TUES(I don't know why they want me tues. instead of Monday.) So, that's my story.
Cathy(Pebbles): I wanted to ask you because you said you had a low beta and your numbers were slow in rising, if you can share your story with me?
Also, I hope your son is feeling better and eating better. Poor little guy and poor you to experience this. I hope he is feeling better!
Hugs to everyone.

HELLO EVERYONE
Shells
03/20/2006, 07:13 PM
hi got my #'s today
1st beta =797
2nd beta =3,665 (3 days later than the first)
so they said someone should call me to schedule the u/s for the end of this week..
I should be 5 weeks today will that be too earley to hear the heartbeat?
this is such an amazing feeling "im pregnant" i cant believe it!
it feels weird to say that!! but im so happy..
so thankful.
beth=yes they look identical!!!
big time! & so cute!!!
Hi Everyone,
Shells: You have amazing #'s! You don't hear the heartbeat until later. You might see it though at 5-6 weeks. I am sooooo happy for you. You deserve to be a mommy!
Beth: Your boys are so cute! How can I post a picture like that for you guys to see my girl, Hailey.
Jenifer: Your twins are so adorable! Blondes have more fun! My daughter is blonde as well!
Well, guys, I went in to see the RE because I just couldn't wait till tomorrow. It definitely is a chemical pregnancy. I am okay though because I have my girl and of course, my dh! We are going to have some sushi and decide what to do next. I appreciate everyone's prayers and good thoughts. Thank you for being great cheerleaders. But, I'm not leaving this board!

Hi all!
Sorry to be mia again! Joey seems to be doing better, we have an appointment tomorrow to see what his weight is at. Last Monday he was 8 lbs 14 oz. I hope his weight gain is enough to make them happy b/c they were considering putting him on a higher calorie formula which we don't want b/c then I don't think we can give him breast milk. Right now we are just supplementing with formula. I am going through a rough time this week, my first son, John, died at 12 weeks 3 days from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) and Joey will be that age on Thursday. Along with that, John's 8th birthday was yesterday. It's just not right to have to go to a cemetery for your child's birthday. John wasn't dh's son, so sometimes he just can't understand what I'm going through. This is a very difficult time for me and I just wish I had a friend nearby that I could go hang out with and cry on their shoulder and not be judged or feel like people think I should just be over it by now. I don't see how I can ever "get over" losing my infant son. Anyway, sorry if I'm bringing anyone down!
Alona- I'm so sorry for what you are going through! ((((HUGS))))
Shells- I'm so excited for you! You totally deserve this!
Beth- Your twins are absolutely adorable!
I am attaching a pic of Joey from St. Patrick's Day.
I hope everyone is doing good!

Cathy- I am so sorry for what you are going through right now. I wish I lived closer to you. MY shoulder is always there for you to lean on and have a good cry.
Joey is so darn adorable. That picture is great!
Cathy: How are you doing? Sorry that you are going through all this with Joey on time like this. Not that there is ever good time to see your child sick. I know from experience though now that babies recover fast. Dayna had surgery on Friday and she is already being herself; screaming and playing. I know for sure that Joey is going to recover fast. I am praying for his health.
I don’t think you can ever get over losing a child. I think you need to be a MOM to feel what you are feeling. I wish I was there to give you a HUG! Try to stay strong and don’t let people tell you that you should be over it. There is nothing wrong with crying if you feel like it.
Please know that I am thinking of you and praying that Joey recovers as soon as possible.
Love,

Cathy- I noticed that Joey uses a pacifier. There is a positive side to a pcifice, the Pediatric Institutes stated that babies that use pacifiers before the age of 6months are less likely expeience SIDS due to the fact the pacifier reminds them to suck that reminds them to breath.
I can't even imagine what you have gone through with the loss of your child. I do know that your are a good mom and you care deeply for your children. I think it is very healthy that you visit your sons grave.
Joey is a wonderful and healthy baby boy. You are going to bring him up to be a very strong boy.

Cathy I'm sorry to hear about your first son. If anyone dares think ill of you for grieving for him don't worry about it or give them an ear full if it will make you feel better. My aunt lost her 17 year old a month after his birthday, 18 years ago. She still grieves his loss. She no longer lives close to his grave so I'm not sure how often she makes it there, but I know the years do not wipe away the loss. Last year I was with her on his birthday. In hushed tones she brought it up. I think for her, she feels people have forgotten about him and have moved on (and think she should too). Even though I was only 11 at the time I haven't forgotten. Do you happen to have family you can call on during this time? Sometimes it can be good to talk to those who were there. If not feel free to let us know all about. We will listen and not think ill of you.

Shells - just a real quick CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I knew your time would come - and you've now been doubly blessed! When these babies appear - you will NEVER doubt why it hadn't worked earlier! Congratulations and super big hugs!!!
I miss you all. I've been so busy. I'm teaching 1/2 days now and with 4 other children AND Harrison - life doesn't stop. He's a joy and a doll - but it's tiring. I had eye surgery last week and just got the stitches out and he banded his head into mind and opened up the incision. I'm waiting to hear back from the doctor now so I can go to the ER at 11:00 tonight. Does it ever end?!!
Please continue to post pictures - I'll do the same.
Love, hugs, belly pats, and blessings to all!!
Laura
Shells: Congrats girl! OMG...I knew it was twins from those amazing #'s!!!!
Keep us posted with all the milestones( heartbeats, movements, sex of the babies(haha) I know I am skipping waaayyyyy ahead!
So, last week, was a little scary. They thought my pregnancy was ectopic, but it wasn't(thank goodness.) I think I am going to look into doing egg retrieval and putting them on ice for a while. When I am ready, maybe I will try again. I am 36 so I want to make sure that my eggs are preserved. I have an appt. with the RE on Thursday.
Hi to everybody. Laura, it is good to hear from you. You are busy with 5 kids and a teaching position!!!! Super Woman!
Alona
Shells: Congratulations!!!! I can't beleive you are having twins... YEAH!!! What a blessing!
Hey I had one and I was so tired all the time. I would come home from work and just lie on the couch every evening. Indent on my couch is proof of that LOL. My DH always laughs at that.
Alona: I am glad that it was not ectopic pregnancy. You are only 36 you might not have to freeze eggs. Are you planning to do that just to be on safe side. I still can't decide if I want another child or not. May be with time I will know. Dayna is only 7 months.
Laura: Good to see you back! Sorry about your eye surgery. You must be hurting. HUGS! I hope you get better soon. I hear once you have kids it really never ends :). I would so like to have one full night of sleep.
Jennifer: How are you doing? How are twins?
Cathy: How are you feeling? How's Joey?
For me things are busy at work. I had to travel to NJ last week for work. It was my first time being away from Dayna over night and I had very hard time with that and now tomorrow I have to go to to Austin and I am already getting so anxious about it. Hopefully this would be last trip for long time.
Hope every one is well!

As for Easter, Last year teh twins were just 4 months old. I bought them the little soft Easter Bunny baskets from Hallmark and hten I put little stuffed bunny's and chicks in them. Then on Easter I dressed them up in there little Easter suit and dress and took lots of pictures of them. (It was fun!)
Beth- Are you going to see if your little guys are identical? I just read an article on a couple that went through IVF and they assumed there girls were fraternal because they were in seperate sacs. They later found out the girls were identical. S it is possible! (I am so curious I can't stand it! LOL!)

Mon,
Dayna is sooo beautiful.
CJ finally started walking...unblieveable seeing that e was already pulling up and cruising at 6mths..we'd thought he'd walk at 10mths at the most. i guess he learnt so much so fast and was not in a hurry to walk.
its so cute seeing him walk...i went to pick him up from Daycare today and he walked to me! i was so happy! (and Dh and i saw him walk first at home...so that joy was not stolen from us, we even had to alert the dc that he was walking on his own as they had not even know he could do that for 5days...guess he's always too busy playing)!
hugs to all including Cathy, Stacy, Pebbles and everyone else i missed and babies.

Beth I see what you are saying. They do look a lot a like, but that is just because they are brothers. Correct me if it’s just the lighting, but the baby in both the bottom pictures is even a little more tan. Actually... Seeing both their faces straight on I can tell them apart. The baby in the top pic either has bigger eyes or it is the way his eyebrows and bone structure are formed that makes his eyes look big. Looking at the pictures closer I am thinking it's the latter. They are both cuties.
Hi everyone,

Shells, I had that too and I had it for more than a couple of days. It is probably just old blood. The cramping could be your uterus making room for the babies. So keep positive. But when there is any cramping or bleeding, always take it easy. Hugs.

Hi everyone, I just wanted to let you know that Shells and her babies are ok. She is just very tired and sick so she is trying to rest up.
Jennifer: Thanks for letting us know! I have been worried about her.
With twins do you ever get to sleep in. Dayna wakes up every morning at 6:00am regardless of what time she goes to bed. During the week it's not too bad but on weekends it's so tough to wake up early because we always end up staying up till 12-1:00 or later night before.
DH and I try to take turns but I end up getting up anyway even when it's his turn because I am just a very light sleeper. And I have never been a napper.
You can probably tell that I am feeling sleep deprived right about now. :)
Hope every is having a great weekend!

Mon- These little people like to sleep for the most part. They use to sleep until 9:30-10 am. It would drive me nuts. Then Ifinally had them waking up around 7:30am and daylight savings hit and messed up there little body's.
Actually I'm not one to sleep in. Believe me I try but I just can't. I am also a light sleeper and everything wakes me up. (Thats why you'll see me post at all different hours of the night because I can't sleep.)
Good Luck at getting some rest.

thanks for letting us know Shells is alright. she must be getting a double whammy of m/s....poor babe.
Shells,
hang in there babe...m/s is a great reassurance (actually the best):p !
Mon,
welcome to MY WORLD...but i am actually happy about daylight saving now because we are back to his old schedule of him sleeping until 6:30-7am during weekends and i wake him up during the week. i hate it when the clock goes backwards...he'd wake t 4:30 stimes and i'd be pooped!!!
hugs to all,
China & Christian Jr.
Jennifer: I don’t know why would you want to wake them up. My friend you should be enjoying a little longer time in bed J
How’s the weight loss going? I know earlier you were talking about working out. I was just wondering. I am finally back on track and trying to work out like I used to. I have to get ready for the summer J.
China: It’s painful at times to wake up early isn’t it? On Sunday night Dayna was up at 3:00am and didn’t fall back asleep till 4:30. Needless to say Monday was rough at work. I barely survived.
Shells: How are you doing? I hope surviving the first trimester. I know it could be rough. I am thinking of you.

well i am feeling better than what i was... saturday i started eating better so i think that is makeing me feel better..

but other than that i dont throw up...
should i be worried that i dont feel as sick as i did???
I dont go for an u/s until may 8th... to check my cervical length? I think because i had a leep procedure which is removing abnormal cells from cervix.
i had alittle bleeding on last thursday night (i told you guys right)
then i had alittle pink discharge on sunday night before i went to bed..
but i have been resting soo much anyways.. so im hoping its gone,, because it really scares me.

I'm still here! Sorry to be MIA, but there's been alot going on. Joey has croup now :( Hopefully it'll be completely gone in a few days, he sounds much better today than he did on Tuesday. Hello ladies: What a week I had last week. So it started Friday before last I caught my Nanny stealing money out of my purse. I had a feeling that something like that was going on because my money kept disappearing but I didn’t want to even think that she would do it but on Friday I knew for sure. I had to let her go right away. It made me feel really sad. Dayna was so attached to her. Luckily I found a new Nanny that weekend and started her on last Monday. She seems really good but now Dayna is big enough to know who she knows. I worked from home all last week but it was so hard because Dayna kept fussing and crying and I couldn’t just stay in my office and work when Dayna was crying. It made me so sad. So I was working my crazy work schedule, training new Nanny, and trying to feel Dayna comfortable with new Nanny. Moral of the story, IT’S BEEN TOUGH….
How are things with you ladies?
Jennifer: Once the weather turns it’s much easier to get out and walk and lose weight isn’t it? Dayna loves being outside so I try to take her out for walk almost every evening. It’s good for both of us. I bet twins know what park is at this point.
Cathy: how are you doing? Good to hear Joey is gaining weight and eating solids. Does he likes it? Dayna is little picky about what she wants to eat. She loves her apple sauce and pear sauce and yogurt. Basically anything sweet I guess. I wonder who she got that from LOL.
Shells: How are you feeling? Are you feeling tired yet? I remember feeling constantly tired when I was pregnant. Morning sickness usually goes away around 12 weeks. I used to eat lifesavers a lot and somehow those really helped. Try it especially when you are in car. Keep us posted on how you are feeling.
Hope every one is well!

Mon- OMG, what a nasty nanny! I'm kinda going through the same thing right now. We hust discovered tonight that someone has stolen all of my old coins that I have been collecting since I was 2. Yes 2! My biological dad has always given me old coins and I always saved them. I probable had around 1000+ coins ranging in dates from the 1700's to the early 1900's. Then my collection of $2 bills (around 200 of them) are missing!
I am so angry and hurt!
It has been really nice hear except for today so I have had the kids out walking. Walking sure does help with stress!
Cathy- I hope Joey feels better. HE is so cute!

ryab,, hi i am expecting twins too!! due nov 20th (well thats the due date(
i have had some spotting how about you??
well hello to everyone ill talk to you all soon,
michele (shells)
Jennifer: That's aweful, it's much worse than losing money. I hope somehow you would find it. Do you have any idea who might have took it? It's sad when you can't have your stuff safe in your own home.
This has been another tough week with work and new nanny but it's little bit better than last week. Work has been really taking toll on me. I hope it gets better soon.
It is nice to get out for walks for sure. It's been pretty nice here in Chicago as well.
Shells: Being tired is part of pregnancy. Twins are going to be just fine. Don't worry. You are almost at 12 weeks and that's such a milestone! November 20th be here before you know it. HUGS!
Hope every one is well!

Shells: Congrats on your expectant twins!! :):) Isn't it going to be fun??
I had some bleeding and spotting last Thurs-Sun... very scary! I went right to the dr. office since it's only 2 blocks from my work and had a sono and thankfully everything looked great with the babies and they are diagnosing it right now as unexplained. I had another sono and appt. on Tues. and they keep reassuring me they are doing just great! Wonderful size, weight, heartbeats, etc. I have been on bedrest/limited activity since Thurs, just in case. I'm the type that will now take it easy for the rest of my pregnancy, one scare is enough!
Jennifer: So far this new Nanny seems good. She is very respectful but she doesn't seem as loving as my old Nanny. One thing my previous Nanny had going was that she was so affectionate.
Only time will tell.
I hope your Dh's detective work would pay off and you would get your stuff back. I can't imagine losing something you have been collecting since you were baby. I am hoping for the best for you.
Ryab: Welcome to the board! Congratulations on your pregnancy! When i pregnant I showed up at my OB's office for anything and everythiing. I didn't care. I was not going to risk anything. It's definitely a good thing to take it easy. I know they reccommend working out and stuff while you are pregnant. At most I took walks but nothing else. Positive Vibes for happy healthy pregnancy for you!!!
Hope every one is having a great weekend!

yes this is very exciting since we have been waiting for so long for my little babies.!!! i cant wait to hold them in my arms and see what they look like.
We are soo happy and thankful that we have them. We are still alittle worried, but we pray everyday that everything will be okay,
and i told my husband that we are going to go broke with all the cute clothes at babies r us.
and yes, i had some bleeding and went to the hospital, and everything was fine and more spotting but just brown and everything looks fine.

Shells: How are you feeling? Glad that everything looks good with babies! When is your U/S? What week are you at now?
Ryab: How are you feeling? When are you due?
Jennifer: How are you and twins doing? Anything new going on with them? They must be running around now? Dayna is getting real mobile now. She needs to touch everything. You can't sit still with her for a minute now.
China: How are you feeling? It's been long since I saw post from you. I hope all is well with you and CJ!
Beth: How are you and kids?
It's been slow here lately. Hope every one is doing well! Dayna has been little sick this week. She has had fever and has been throwing up a little. Doctor said it's low fever and just to keep an eye on her. I don't like when they say that. She has been keeping me up for sure. Which makes it hard to get things done at work. Work has been crazy busy as usual. I don't know if it's ever going to ease up.
Hope every one is having a great week!
I miss hearing from what's going on in every one's life!

Hello Ladies: How's every one doing? I am so excited that it's long weekend. We have no plans this week, how nice!!! Dayna is becoming handful for sure. She doesn't like to stay still for a second. She is crawling and getting in to every thing now days. I know she understand what NO means but she chosed to ignore me. I think I am going to become more stern. I want her to be a good baby not a spoiled baby.
She is 9 months now. On her 9 months appointment she was 21lbs 3oz and 30 inches long.
Shells: Good to hear that babies are doing good. U/S are fun aren't they? I had the Downsyndrome test and it came back negative for me. My OB did told me that lot of people get false positive. I think it's your personal choice. You have more chances of having false positive when you are older because they take your age in account but given you are so young I think you will be fine.
As far as feeling sick goes in the morning, only advice I have for you is sucking on life savers. Some how that used to help me quite a bit.
Here we go she is up already. I thought I had minute to post.
I will be back in few to post.

Jennifer: How are you doing? How are twins? Dayna alone keeps me so busy so I can only imagine how busy your life must be. Hope all is well. I am sorry for not remembering but have you already started your cycle for donation yet?
Shells: How are you feeling? Is Nausea getting any bettter? It's almost time to find out sex of the twins. You must be so excited. I rememeber when I waiting for it. I was couting days I can't wait to hear :).

Beth: How are you and twins doing?
Laura: Hope you and Harrison are doing well! I bet you are enjoying swimming in this nice weather. We took Dayna swimming for the first time on Monday. It was lot of fun.

Hi Ladies! Wow, it has been rough trying to find time to post! The twins turn one on Saturday. I still can't believe it. William finally started crawling correctly about 3 weeks ago (he did an army crawl before!). And John had taken about 3 steps at the same time, but then became Mr. Cautious! Finally this past weekend he decided to dare to walk! He looks like a little drunk when he does! Then he gets excited and tries to run and falls! LOL!
Shells, which test are you talking about? If it is the AFP, I advise against it. I took it, and got a false positive. It was nerve wracking and emotional. I found out later that with multiples it is common to get a false positive.
Hi everyone. I will try and do personals later.

Hello Ladies: I went through the worse couple days. On Tuesday night I was changing Dayna’s diaper. My Changing table is set up in a way that her wipes are little lower so you have to bend to grab them and as I was doing that Dayna rolled over and fell on the ground. My DH was right there as well. I started crying hysterically didn’t know what to do. She was crying so bad. I have never been more scared in my life. We called 911 and they literally showed up within couple minutes. Nice to see system work. They came checked her out and she seemed ok. They told us to just keep her up and keep an eye on her. I literally spent all night crying. I still can’t believe that she feel when I was standing right there. She could have got badly hurt. I feel so horrible about it. I never leave her alone for a second and am always lecturing every one to watch and I let her fall. I took yesterday off I needed some time alone with her. DH and I both took day off to be with her. My poor baby. She seemed fine by the time she woke up yesterday but it still hurts to think. My poor DH not only he has to take care of Dayna because I was so shook up he had to take care of me too. It makes you realize how fragile life is. I took her changing table off and from now on she will be getting changed on the floor. I hope I would never have to call 911 again.
Jennifer: I don't know how you juggle three kids. I have only one and look what I did my poor baby :o(
When do you go in for ER? I hope you have another successful cycle.
Beth: Kids are getting real mobile, aren't they? I can't believe twins are one. Happy Birthday to them! What did you do for their birthday?
Dayna is going to be one in couple months. I am not sure what I am going to do.
Shells: How are you feeling? Almost time to find out sex of the baby, YEAH!! You must be so excited.
Hope every one is well!

Sorry to be MIA so long. I forgot how much it takes to care for a little one! Joey is doing well, we were at the dr yesterday and he was 15 1/2 pounds. We brought him in because his eating pattern was off and he was acting weird. The best answer we could get was that he must be teething. I am starting to get quite anxious now because since birth Joey has been on a sleep apnea monitor and I am afraid that any day now they are going to take it away because insurance won't pay for it anymore. They originally told me that they usually use them until the baby is 2 months older than the sibling or until they are 6 months old. So now Joey is more than 2 months older than John was and he's almost 6 months old! Plus tomorrow will be 8 years since John died. 8 years! Unbelievable. I am not sure how I am going to be this year, some days seem a little better having Joey, but then other things are harder. I honestly don't know how I am going to sleep without the apnea monitor, but there is no way we can afford it on our own.
I have been very tired lately due to some sort of hormone issue. Not sure exactly what is going on. I was diagnosed as hypothyroid a couple of years ago and started taking the lowest dose of Synthroid. At my post partum appt I was a few pounds less then I was pre-pregnancy, and then all of a sudden I started gaining weight, so I went to my PCP to have my thyroid levels checked. Well, the initial test came back as hyperthyroid, so the dr sent me for another one because it didn't make sense to him that I'd be gaining weight and the second one came back a little bit more hyperthyroid, so he stopped the synthroid and referred me to an Endocrinologist. I went to my OB/Gyn for my annual the other day and I weigh 30lbs more than I did at my post partum check. He sent me for blood work so that I can have recent results when I see the endo and also to see if he can figure out what the deal is. My appt was today and it turns out that my TSH was 55, it should be about 5.5, so he put me back on Synthroid and wants to recheck my levels every 6 weeks. The endo said that he is pretty sure I have post partum thyroiditis and hopefully it will resolve itself soon.
Anyway, just wanted to check in and let you all know why I haven't been around much. I hope to hear from you all soon!
Mon- Dayna's fall sounds so scary! I will try to make sure I remember to strap Joey down every time we change him!
Jennifer- You are amazing! Alot of people complain about all of the shots and stuff when they are going through them for themselves, but you are so selfless to do it for strangers! I hope it comes back to you when you have your FET!
Beth- I can't believe your boys are 1! Time really flies! It seems like just yesterday we were wondering how you were doing. They are beautiful!
Shells- How is everything going? I wish you the best of luck!

Cathy- How are you hanging in? I also had issues with my thryoid during pregnancy. Then after I gave brith everything seemed fine until the twins were about 4 months old. I all of a sudden gained a massive amount of weight.
Stay strong for little Joey honey. Your fears are completely understandable. I can't even imagine what you have gone through in teh past 8 years. We are hear for you when ever you need a shoulder to lean on.

Shells: Boy and Girl How Perfect!!! HUGS! So excited for you. Sorry you have to be on bedrest. It must be hard. Don't worry too much twins are going to be just fine. I am praying for healthy rest of the pregnancy for you. I am here if you need to talk. I bet it gets little lonely in bed all the time. I would say get membership to www.netflix.com
Jennifer: How are you? First haricut for the little guy, How cute! Post a picture when you get a chance. Would love to see how he looks? How about the little princes? Did she get haircut as well or you are planing to let her hair grow?
Cathy: How are you feeling? It must be scary for you. I know it's easier said than done but try not to focus on that. Joey would be just fine. I have Dayna on video monitor and I can truly hear her so well. If you make it loud enough you can liteally hear Dayna breathe. Before you know it he is going to be so active in the crib that you won't have to worry about it. Now days Dayna really moves so much in her crib that she wakes up on opposite side of bed. Positive healthy vibes for little Joey!
Hope every one is having a wonderful weekend!

Hi all!
Well, today Joey is 6 months old! My has time flown! Well, the lady from the monitor company came to download the monitor last week and she said that we need to discuss with the dr at our appt this week whether or not we want to keep monitoring him. I say heck yeah! But she said we need to weigh the "risks" vs. the benefits. The "risks" are false alarms due to him pulling on the wires or moving around so much the leads move, which hasn't happened yet, the possibility that he could tangle himself in the wires, and the possiblity he could choke himself with the wires as he starts moving and rolling more. I have talked to many parents that monitored their babies until a year old and none of them had these issues, except maybe false alarms. Personally I'd rather have a false alarm then no alarm! Anyway, our appt is friday so I guess we'll talk to the dr then.
Joey is doing more and more each day! He loves his jumperoo, actually he likes to jump no matter where he is! We went to visit my cousin yesterday, he has a son that is about 3 1/2 months older than Joey, and a 4 year old son and Joey had a ball playing with them! It was so fun to watch. He is pretty much sitting up now, and isn't far from crawling, other than the fact that he hates being on his belly. He says momma and dadda and an occassional ba-ba. Anyway, he is growing up fast!
As for me the endo put me back on Synthroid to try to fix my body and I'm still waiting for that to kick in and give me more energy again! Hopefully I can get back to normal and lose all the weight I put on!
Mon- Thanks for checking in on me! I am doing pretty well I'd say. The fear of losing Joey is still there, but the older he gets, the less I worry. How is Dayna? She must be huge by now!
Shells- Boy/girl! How exciting! Bed rest is great when it is a personal decision, but it sucks when it's mandatory! I feel for you! You just live vicariously through us for now okay! Enjoy your shows!
Talk to you all soon!

I just wanted to say hi to everyone! I haven't been around here in a while... so much DH and I have to do here within the next month and a half - we're having a hard time making any nursery decisions!! We are having twin girls (2nd IUI), Alexis Marcelline and MaKayla Marie :) :) Not another appt. for 2 more whole weeks! Time between them seems like forever!
Hello Ladeies: We are going away this Saturday for a week to Door County. We rented a house on lake. I am so looking forward to just relaxing with Dayna and DH. I am thinking that Dayna is probably going to learn to walk this week. She has been trying so hard. She pulls herself up on almost anything and than just let's go as if she knows what she is doing. It's really cute to watch her try. Her little legs shake when she tries to stand on her own LOL. She is definitely getting big every day.
Shells: 19 weeks, WOO HOO! That's great. You will be 30 weeks before you know it:).
I bet bedrest is hard but look at the bright side you can catch up all the movies you ever wanted to see :).
How often are you seeting your OB?
Cathy: I completely agree with you, I would rather have false alarm than no alarm. I hope your Doctor agrees tomorrow and lets you have the monitor for another year.
It's good that Joey is getting so active. You know the more active they are less there is for you to worry about.
Jennifer: I know what you mean by kids keeping you busy. I have only one and she keeps me plenty busy for sure.
Ryab: Good to hear from you! Getting Nursery ready is exciiting but also somewhat stressful as you are trying so hard to make it the best possible. I love the girls name. BEAUTIFUL!
Hope every one is well!

Ladies: I thought I would share some pictures from our vacation. First shot is my favorite time of the vacation. I was lying in the sun and Dayna was crawling around playing with DH and she just came to me and put her head on my shoulder to cuddle. She is becoming so cuddly. She loves giving kisses and hugs. And her picture passed out on DH’s legs. That pictures shows you we tired her out LOL. We spent lot of our time swimming. Dayna loves water. It was so nice to have the whole week with her. We had such a wonderful time. I wish we could do it more often. You miss out on so much when you are at work.
http://share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=8AcuWbFi0csmk2
Shells: I got lot of BH and I also got “round ligament pains’ Oh it hurts so bad. I was just like you every thing made me nervous. I mean everything. I think I made more emergency stops at my OB’s office than any one I know but I didn’t care. That’s what we pay them for, right? It does feel great when you feel them, doesn’t it? Did you rent the fetal Doppler? I did when I was pregnant and it was great to have it. Whenever I would get scared or not feel Dayna I would just use it.
How often are they monitoring you?
Jennifer: How cute that twins talk with each other. It’s amazing to see them grow isn’t it? It feels like they learn new things every day.
Cathy: How are you feeling? What’s the verdict from your Doctor? Were you able to keep the monitor? I hope so.

yes i started the tightning of my stomach about 19 weeks and i dont like getting them just because they make me nervous. they dont hurt. when did u start getting them?
you know i dont worry if i dont feel them,,, i just worry if i will have them early or when i go to appts. if my cervix changed or not. i just dont want to go too early i want them to be ok
girls
**** when do u think is a good time for a shower? how many weeks? (remember i have twins and am on bedrest?) so 36 weeks is normal for having twins should i have one at 29.5 weeks or wait until 32.6 weeks???

SHells- I say have it around 29 weeks. I have a friend who had her identical twins at 32 weeks. YOu just never know when you are carrying more then one when you will deliver.
Shells: Thank you! She is definitely getting bigger every day. I am getting good muscles in my arms LOL.
I started getting BH real easly as well and it used to really worry me because I know with twins you get everything early but with single it seemed odd. And it used to be scary for me because I would always worry how would I know if it's BH or real contraction. You know what I mean. My OB would say always say believe when you get a real one you would know LOL. I think she was right.
I can see why you would worry about going too early. Not to scare you or anything but one of my co-workers went around 23 weeks with twins. It was scary at the time but a month ago they had a big party celebrating their first birthday and twins looked as healthy as any other kids I have seen. I am actually having a play-date with them coming Saturday. It would be first time for Dayna.
I am praying that you don't go till the babies are ready.
As far as Shower is concered I agree with Jennifer, 29 weeks sounds right.
I know it's hard but try not to worry too much. You have many people praying for you and twins!

shells:rolleyes:
Hi Shells! I am here :). 29.6 is perfect timing. I know you wouldn't go too early. Don't worry about it :).
It's so funny that you are wondering about why you are not getting BH any more LOL. You know I had real bad nausea my first trimester and I complained and complained and than 2nd trimester hit and nausea was literally gone in a day and I was so freaked out that some thing must be wrong. My DH was telling me that I have lost it LOL. I even called my OB about it LOL
Don't worry BH would be back. Enjoy the break. :)
Dayna had a play date with the baby girl I was telling you earlier who was born at 23 weeks. It was so much fun to watch them play they were both crawling over each other and stealing each others toys. I was surprised that Dayna was not bothered by some one taking her toy given she has never had playdate before. It was really cute to watch how excited Dayna was to see another baby.
Enjoy the u/s tomorrow! That used to be favorite time.
Hope every one is doing great.

Mon- How cute Dayna and her play date.
Shells- YEAH 22 weeks! Keep us updated on your u/s
IT is so HOT here. I wish I had central air!
Shells: 22weeks Yeah!!! I know each week feels like an accomplishment when you are pregnant. How was U/S? Did you get to see little ones moving around.
Don't feel bad about being scared. I tell you I went to the OB many times crying. Now that I look back at it I bet they all used to make fun of me LOL.
You know I think about whether I want to do IVF again or not all the times. I am not sure for couple reasons. First I am afraid of having OHSS again. I had it real bad. And another thing I worry about, you are going to think I am weird for thinking this but I love Dayna so much that I feel like it's not possible for me to love another baby like this or whether it be fair to Dayna if Momma can't give her all the attention. People who have more than one kids tell me that you love all your kids just the same and it's normal to worry like this first time around. So we will see. I know I have to make this decision soon because if I have another child I don't want them to have huge age gap.
Post about the U/S.
Jennifer: You have playdate in your house every day, don't you? It must be so much fun to watch them play with each other. How are they doing? Did you receive results on your last cycle?
Cathy: How are you doing? I have not seen you around in a while. Hope all is well.
Hope every one is well!

Hi all!
I just wanted to let you know that I'm going away for the week for my birthday, which is July 26. This is the first time we're going away with Joey, so I have packed about twice as much as we need! I'm sure it will be uneventful, but be sure I will take lots of pics! We are going to Lancaster, PA. On Sunday Erik, myself, and my cousin are going to Hershey Park while her mom watches Joey (the first time we'll be away from him), hopefully we'll go on a horse and buggy ride, we're also gonna go on a tour of the Sturgis Pretzel factory, other than that I'm not sure what we are gonna do. I will talk to you all when we get back!
Shells- I'm sure everything will be okay! I can't believe how far you are already!
Mon- I can't believe how big Dayna has gotten! I can't wait to see more pics!

Shells: Good to hear that u/s went well. 23 weeks is great. Before you know it you will be 28 weeks :).
How are you feeling? How's the bedrest going?
Cathy: Have a great time away. I always overpack when I go away with Dayna as well. Oh well :) You never know what you are going to need right.
Jennifer: Hello! How are you twins doing? Hopefully enjoying the summer. Hey have you started twins on nuts? I am told that babies shouldn't have nuts till they are three. That seems little extreme because there so many cookies and stuff that say it may have traces of nuts. Any advice?
Dayna finally slept through the night last night. Which was so nice for a change. She has been giving real hard time lately. She is teething real bad. My poor baby. You can just tell she is not comfortable. Hopefully teeth would pop out soon.
Have a realxing Sunday ladies! We are going out to the pool to enjoy the weather.

Hi all,
I've been reading the posts and trying to keep up with everyone - gosh, so much has changed!!! Shells - I am so excited for you!!!
As you can see at the bottom - our lives have been turned upside down a bit. We are expecting #6 in December. He/she will be 14.5 months younger than Harrison. I've been in denial a bit - but the reality is slowly setting in. We had an amnio done (the thought of finding out something bad right before Christmas was too much) and chromosomally all is well. We are thankful. We go in for another level 2 u/s this Weds. The kids are excited - I guess that's good.
Anyway, I will post personals again here later. I had a hard time finding the site - thankfully Mon had been kind enough to email it to me - thank you, friend. Dayna is beautiful, by the way!
Jennifer - your babies (or big kids! :) ) are beautiful, too. Thanks for continuing to share.
Anyway, love and hugs to all. I'll be back!

well 1st i want to tell u all the ffn test came back -- so im thrilled!!! soo thankful!!! so we will do it again in 2weeks. they also did a test that they put the strapps around your belly holding 2 things to hear the heartbeats and to see if any contractions,,, i didnt like that because she was pushing on my stomach alittle and due to my cervix issues that puts pressure on it...
but im happy it came back negative.
laura= hello to you...ncongrats on your pregnancy... so we are kind of close.

Laura: Congratulation!!!! How are you feeling? Harrison and little one are definitely going to be close together. You better be ready for lot of hard work LOL. HUGS!! I am glad that all tests came out good. Welcome Back!
Shells: I love your signature how cute!! I am so happy that all your tests are going well. I am praying for time to fly for you :)
I bet it hurts after you lay for a while but look at it this way once the twins are here and you can kiss goodbye to your bed so might as well enjoy it. :)
Right now Dayna already has 6 teeth four top and two bottom and I think she is getting two more in bottom. Every time she is teething it seems to last for at least couple weeks. It’s still not over and on top of that she has developed cough, my poor baby. She has not been sleeping well. I feel bad for both of us. Positive Vibes for your u/s tomorrow!

i really dont mind b-rest because i know i have to do it for my little munchkins. i have 5 weeks to 28 weeks so im counting down the days,,,
when i get up in the a.m i eat breakfast then lay in my sunroom and let my doggie out and watch either regis or babystory
then tinkle and go back to lay down and i have to usually get up every hour about because of drinking water ( which i have to because of b-hick cont.)
then my price is right is on at 11:00 and i eat lunch about 12-12:30
and im on this often,,,
fun day huh,,,
my little doggie sleeps next to her mommy,,,

Shells- I remember when I was on bedrest and I have to say that is what my day sounded like. GMA-Regis-Price is Right- News-Soaps-, ect. Then I slept on and off between peeing because of all the water I was told to drink.
The Days and nights of a pregnant lady on bed rest. LOL
I can't wait until you hit that 28 week marker.
Good Morning Ladies: Dayna woke me up at 5:00am today. I guess it’s not as bad as 2 or 3 in the morning. I feel bad for her. She has been coughing a lot. We took her to the Doctor again in the morning. Now they think she may have Sinus infection. Sometimes I feel like they are just guessing. I have had sinus infection before but I don’t remember ever getting cough as main symptom. Let’s hope they are right. I am not going to like giving her anti-biotics.
Shells: That sounds like an exciting day :o). You should put your DH to work make sure he rubs your shoulders at night. It’s nice that you have pool. I would love to have one. No this year but I bet next year you will tons of fun in it with twins. Dayna loves being in water. We take her to the pool or beach all the time.
Jen: LOL twins sounds so cute. Oh I can’t even imagine how busy they must keep you. I tell you my little one keeps me on my toes. When does their class start? I should do something like that so Dayna gets used to playing with other kids.

hi,
my u/s appt. went well.
my cervix measured 3.8-4.0 he said the tech did 2 mwasurments. but last week at a different place they measured 2.9 the 2 times i went there it was the same and the 2 times i went to the specialist were about the same... weird! maybe its the different techs????
but i figure both places it stayed the same so thats good and now i only go to the specialist. and my ob
so im just continuing what im doing and praying for the health of my babies.
jenifer-i dont remember you saying you were on bedrest? would u mind sharing why?

Shells- I was on modified bedrest from 7 weeks until into my 6month due to my subchorionic hemorrhage. I had weekly u/s through out that entire time to measure the hemorrhage and monitor the twins. Then I also had the weekly blood draws.
The hemorrhage was bigger then the twins and they thought I was going to lose them. Then in my 6month I went in and the hemorrhage had more then doubled and they told me to prepare to lose the twins within the week. Then the next week my bleeding had stopped and I went in for my u/s and the hemorrhage was gone.
Then after that they had me come in every 2 weeks for u/s and every week for ob checks.
MY Little Miracles arrived at 36weeks exactly.
I tell you having to buy packages of pads every week of the majority of my pregnancy sucked. I always thought that was one of the perks of pregnancy, no bleeding. I got screwed! LOL
Shells: That a good news! Every passing week is great week. I am always thinking of you. I tell you pregnancy is such a wonderful but scary journey.
Have you registered for your baby shower yet?
Dayna is still not feeling good. She is so restless. She had not slept through the night for couple weeks now. Let’s hope this anti-biotics work good.
Jennifer: I remember reading about your pregnancy story long time ago and how many times they told you that it wasn’t looking good. I tell you, you just have to have faith. My IVF was just a disaster and no one thought I would get pregnant but I did. And than once I got pregnant I was so sick I didn’t thought baby could survive that but here I am with my little miracle. She is a blessing for sure.
Ladies: I am going to my sister’s over the weekend for my Nephew’s birthday so I will talk with you on Monday.
Have a great weekend!

I hate when I lose my post. I wrote post to every one and as I click send it disappears. Oh well. How are you ladies doing? Weekend was crazy busy. I was at my sister’s for her son’s birthday. Dayna bumped her head multiple times on her table. She doesn’t have very kid friendly coffee table and Dayna insisted on standing holding it. Every time I would put her on floor she would make a run for it. You would think she would learn the first time she got hurt.
Shells: I bet you were scared. That doesn’t sound like a fun weekend. I am glad that you and babies are ok though. Stay away from fast food. Everything is scary when you are pregnant. I hope you feel better real soon. 24 weeks, YEAH!!!!!!!
Cathy: Good to hear you had good vacation with Joey! Kids always take couple days to get back on track after vacation.
Jennifer: Wow! What a wonderful gift you have given to three families. That’s amazing!

Shells- I'm so sorry to hear about the gall stones, but at least they figured it out. I had my gall bladder taken out 8 months after I had my first son. I know from experience that attacks are no fun. I would definitely recommend staying away from fatty foods, because the first attacks are nausea, but then it ends up being intense pain. At first I thought I just had the flu, and the second time I thought it was food poisoning. The next attack was the one that landed me in the ER, intense searing pain on my right side. As for cribs, we got ours at Babies R' Us, it was $249 I think and they still have it. It is a white convertible crib made by Ameriwood.
Mon- We are planning to keep Joey out of the living room because our tables are very much not baby friendly, the coffee table and end tables are glass topped. Plus we have a fire place.
I keep forgetting to tell you guys, the dr kept Joey on the monitor, she said the fact that it is what helps me sleep is reason enough to keep him on it. She said that there isn't really any health reason to keep him on it, but the insurance should keep paying for it because in January he had a brief apnic episode and the dr at the apnea clinic said to keep him on it until he was a month older than his SIDS sibling or the issue resolves. He has been having episodes that last less than 19 seconds, which is borderline apnea, they don't consider it apnea unless the episode lasts more than 20 seconds, so anyway since he has these brief non-episodes they can justify keeping him on it to the insurance company.
As for me, I joined a gym over the weekend and I'm hoping that in a few months I'll be able to lose the 30 lbs I put on because of my thyroid. I will let you know how it goes.
Talk to you soon!
Cathy
Shells: How are you doing? I bought my Crib from My Child’s Room. It’s made by company called Baby’s dream. They have beautiful stuff but it’s kind of pricey.
http://www.babysdream.com/catalog/genext_col.htm
I think Babies R Us is great place to look for real nice and reasonable furniture. And they sell lot of their stuff online.
Cathy: That’s nice that they are letting you keep the monitor. It must gives you such a sense of security. How long do you think you would like to have it?
It’s probably going to be impossible for you to keep Joey out of your living room. Let me tell you that these kids only want to go to places they are not supposed to. Today she was getting so upset with me because I would not let her play with wires. She was crying as if she got hurt or something. She is a silly girl :). I would strongly reccomend changing the table.
Hope every one is staying cool!

jenifer-i have a quick question for u... did u get the steroids with your twins? my dr. mentioned it before and i just brought it up and he said he'll give it to me next monday ill be 25 weeks,,, but i guess usually from what i have been reading people get them when they have pre-term labor,, or a + ffn test.. but im afraid of not having it and going into pre-term labor and it not being able to be stopped.. then i would have no steroids to help the babies..
help if u can

Shells- Hang in there! A ++ doesn't mean it's definite, just that the conditions may be right. Try to rest and try not to stress, I know, it's easier said than done, but everything will work out. Plus now you have the steroids in you, so that's one more bonus! Hopefully you'll check out just fine tomorrow. If you need someone to talk to send me a private message and I can give you my #.
Joey has an ear infection:( He started amoxycillin and acidophillus(sp?) today. He isn't too upset, but at night he gets really cranky and screams like he's in pain. He weighs 17lbs 9oz and is 27 1/4 inches now. He still doesn't crawl forwards too well, but he is getting really good at going backwards and rolls everywhere. He is in a photo contest this month and the winner is based on who gets the most votes, so if you guys could vote that would be awesome! The voting goes from the 8th-14th and you can vote once a day, http://www.babiesonline.com/babies/b/boxofjoe/
I hope everyone is doing good!

Shells: So sorry to hear everything that's going on. I was on vacation last week. I am praying for Jayson and Jilian's health. I hope whenever you deliver they are healthy and happy for you. Please try to relax and pray that delivery is at least few more weeks away.
HUGS!!
Cathy: Sorry to hear Joey has ear infection. It's tough when kids get sick. I hope he feels better real soon.
Ladies: Dayna turned One last Thursday so we went on vacation thinking that be the best way to spend her birthday. She got sick as soon as we got there. She spent the night before her birthday in emergency room. She had hives and fever of 105 at one point. She is still not feeling well but at least she is home and being seen by her regular Doctor. She made us worry so much. Diagnosis was viral infection. My pooor child, not a good way to spend first birthday for sure.

hi,
well we made it another day,,,:) monday will be 27 weeks, im so thankful for each day that passes. i will give u all updates every 2 days or so
this is scarey not knowing when they will come, and i think about delivery too because i always thought i was having a c-section and these dr.s here reccomend vaginal if there in the right position. but i can have a c section if i really want to... dont know what to do about that situation,,, i just dont want any stress on them ???
mon-how is dayna? i hope she feels good tell i said happy birthday!
cathy-and joey is doing well? is he doing anything new?

Jenifer
08/18/2006, 01:39 PM
Shells- Why do you want a c-section? It is my understanding that it is more stressful for a baby to be born by c-section.
Hello Ladies: Sorry for being MIA again for last few days. Dayna is still not feeling 100%. She has not slept through the night for almost three weeks. I feel so tired. And work is as busy as possible.
Shells: 27 weeks, that’s great!!!
You know I really was torn between C-Section and Vaginal birth while I was pregnant. In the end I had no choice it had to be c-section because Dayna was not in right position. However, if I had to choose I would go with c-section. Of course that’s just my personal opinion. To me it was easier. And sorry Jennifer not to contradict you but I was told that C-section was less stressful because the baby doesn’t have to squeeze through small canal. I think there are pros and cons to both. I did extensive research and found articles on both sides. I would highly recommend if you are not sure to of course talk to your OB about your concerns and also do some research online on sites like webmd.com
I am praying everyday for your babies health!
Cathy: I will post pictures hopefully tomorrow.
Hello Jennifer!
Hope every one is well!

hi girls,
well i just feel like less could go wrong with my little babies by c section,,, i worry about the cords, stress,, and feel there out fast and thats better,,,but all the dr.s just say they would reccomend vaginal,,, i have to talk to them but its hard to know which dr to talk to because theres soo many that come in and talk to me and students are always with them so i would rather talk alone ya know,,,
well ill talk to u girls later...
mon, i hope dayna feels 100% better soon, mommy has to get a good night sleep! :)
hi jen, and cathy
shells
Shells: I totally know what you are feeling. It’s a tough decision. Do you have access to your regular OB? If yes I would suggest talking to him/her regarding this. Your OB would know more about your history than any of the hospital Doctors. And if it has to be a hospital OB. Tell your nurse that you would like to talk to one of the Senior OB’s alone for few minutes. They can’t deny you that. I would recommend having your DH there for that conversation. I know when I was pregnant I always felt my head was foggy and it was nice to have some one else listening and catching things I might not catch. Don’t let them ignore you. It’s their job to provide you with this service.
How are you feeling?
Dayna is getting better everyday but still not sleeping so it’s been little tough for me. I am so tired.
Hope every one is well!

Shells- YEAH you have made it this far!!! 2 1/2 weeks until you hit #30!
So are you sick of the hospital yet? If you make it past 30 weeks are you thinking of delivering vaginally?
Shells: With every day you are getting closer to 30 weeks :). I am glad that OB agreed with your choice. It's good to follow you gut instinct I think.
How are you feeling now days other than being worried?
Jennifer and Cathy: Hello! How are you ladies doing?
Dayna had her One year appointment yesterday. She weighed 23 lbs and 32 inches long. My little munchkin is gowing fast. She got Chicken Pox and Measles Shot. She got test for tuberculosis, Lead exposure, and anemia. Poor girl got plenty of pokes yesterday. She seems to be doing good though. I was surprised to learn that now days Chicken Pox shot that they give kids doesn’t make them breakout. Very nice I would say.
I have visitors from out of town this weekend so won't probably get a chance to post. Hope you all have wonderful weekend.

I am so happy for you and am so glad that you have made it this far. In no time your happy healthy baby's will be.

Mon- Dayna is getting so big. Happy belated b-day to her! SO is hse pretty active?
The twins are into everything. Nothing is safe in my house anymore!LOL
I started BCP's today! YEAH, one step closer tp my FET.
Jennifer: Thank you! Oh wow you started BCPs, that's exciting. How are you feeling? I still remmber so clearly how anxious I was when I started my cycle.
Dayna is little more active than I can handle LOL. She has to touch everything she is not supposed to, she constantly have to walk till she passes out. I truly don't even get a second to sit down. She definitely got her energy from my DH. There is no more just sit and cuddle time. She loves giving kisses so that's a good thing. At least I get some reward :).
Positive Vibes for your cycle!!!!
I can only imagine the acitivity level in your house with twins. These kids are growing so fast.

Hi all!
Sorry I've been MIA lately! Between Joey and trying to get things in order for my business I've been busy. Joey got his first tooth!!!!! Yea!!!! It's his bottom front right one and the bottom front left isn't far behind! It's so exciting! I can't believe how fast this first year is going by. He is crawling, standing, and walking while holding on to things. I am making his Halloween costume and am working on putting one together for myself. I have at least finished the big part of it, I just have to make him a tail and hat with ears. Can you guess what he's gonna be? I put up more current pics of Joey at joey.novass.net I still have some that I need to take off of the camera, but those are much more recent. Anyway, I wanted to pop in and say hi and let you all know what's been going on!
Shells- Congratulations!!!!!!!! I'm glad the babies are doing well! How long to they expect them to have to stay in the hospital? I'm glad you are pumping, even if you weren't, just being there for the babies is doing something! I can't wait to see pics!
Mon- Dayna is so precious and your dh isn't bad either, at least I'm guessing that's who it is! I was at the mall with Joey yesterday and this little 3 year old girl walked over to him and gave him a hug and a kiss. It was so cute. And a few days before that we were at a fair and we saw a litlle girl about he same age as Joey and he tried to jump in her stroller with her. It's amazing how quickly they grow up.
Jennifer- I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you! I hope you get the results you've been hoping for especially after all you've helped all of those other couples get their results! If I was going to have to go to IVF I had considered a program where you donate half of your eggs from the cycle and in exchange the other couple paid your expenses, medication and all, everything except if you need to store some. Anyway, I will be thinking of you!
Laura- How are things going? I hope well! How is Harrison?
I'll talk to you all later!
Cathy
Shells: Congratulations!!!! HUGS!!! I am so glad that twins are doing well! I am praying for them to become healthy every day for their Mom and Dad!!! They will be home in your arms before you know it. Keep me posted on your progress. I can't wait to see the pictures. "HUGS"
Cathy: How cute that Joey is already walking. Isn't it cute to watch them learn and grow every day. So Joey is getting popular with girls already :) how cute! I can't believe how much he has grown. I love his big blue eyes and his cute smile. He is gorgeous!
Yes, that's my DH :)

Hi everyone. Sorry to be missing in action. I hope all of you are doing well.

Good Morning Ladies: Hope every one is enjoying the last few days of summer!
Shells: I am thinking of you and Jayson and Jillian. How are you all doing? I am praying that twins are getting bigger and healthier for their Mommy every day. I know you are probably really busy now days but if you get a second let us know how twins are doing? And how you are doing? We are always here if you need to talk to some one. HUGS!
Beth: You have been gone forever. Good to see you back! How are kids?
Laura: How are you doing? How's the pregnancy treating you? How's little Harrison? I bet he is swimming already :). We take Dayna swimming all the time and she just loved being in water which is just so nice. My DH is like a fishy. Post once in a while and let us know how things are.
Jennifer: How's your cycle going? How are twins doing? Dayna has learned how to say and OUT and now all day long she points outside and says out out. She is such a cutie. We are actually planning to move to burbs so we can let her run around more outside. Time to grow up and leave the city life LOL.
Hope every one is well!

Mon- It is so much fun listening to the new words and sayings and the kids come up with. MY DD started saying What You Got around 11 months. IT was so funny to hear her say that. My little ones are so talkative.
Well so far only BCP's, I am still waiting for my medication outline. I can't believe only 8 weeks to go!
Beth- how are you the all of your kids? I bet the twins are getting big.

hi girls,
my twins are doing fine,,, they were having alot of spells (with there breathing, heart rate going down,,, but i guess that is normal for preemies..
they say some babies have more spells than others...
but yesterday and today they havent had as many.
there up to full feeds... (which is not alot of course) i think its like 22 cc's and they start adding more calories to the breast milk now. they are gaining weight alittle past there birth weight.:) and i just love holding them sooo much!! im going to hold jayson once i get up there.
well im off to get dressed and im so tired. (from pumping)
"O" and when i was leaving the hospital from seeing them thursday my incision starting oozing out puss and blood!! alot! all over my pants!!!
so i had to stay and get it cleaned up and i have a wick in there now to help drain it and a nurse has to come and change it for me every day... fun huh?

Shells- I'm so happy the twins are doing well! How long do they think they will need to stay at the hospital? How far do you live from the hospital? I know pumping can get tiring, but at least you know you are providing your babies with their best meal option! They almost had us add that stuff to my bm for Joey when he had his little weight loss episode. Are you going to try to nurse at some point, or are you just gonna keep pumping? Sorry for all the questions!
Jennifer- I'm glad you got the paperwork off in time! I hope your cycle works for you!
Mon- When are you guys planning on moving? I'm sure Dayna will love it! I can't believe how quickly time goes by! Joey now has both bottom teeth and his top ones are working their way in. He also is getting better and better at standing without holding on to anything. I'm just really hoping he doesn't start walking too soon. I started at 10 months, and that is early enough.
Laura- Come back and give us an update! You last popped in and told us you were pg and we haven't heard from you since! What are you trying to do to us! How is Harrison and the rest of your crew? I hope to hear from you soon!
Anyway, I'll talk to you all later!

Hello Ladies: How are you all doing? I have been little stressed out since weekend. DH and I found our ideal home over the weekend in burbs made an offer and seller accepted our offer. It was all good till it hit me that I am moving out to burbs. I am so nervous about it. I feel like life is going to change drastically for me. I love the house and everything about it. It’s on a little lake near a forest preserve, and it has more room than three of us would need. No complains with the house but just the idea of leaving the life I have here in city is really scary to me. I am not sure why but it just is. DH is very excited so at least that’s good. I have been so stressed out for last few days that I have stomach ache from it. On top of this stress we need to get everything ready by October 31st, that’s our closing date. That seems little too close to me. I am in the process of looking for daycare. I think Dayna is at the age she would benefit from being with other kids rather than home alone. So much going on…
Shells: Good to hear twins are doing well! They will get healthier every day and bigger every day for sure.
Your incision situation sounds painful. That sucks, that’s all you needed right now. What is your OB saying about it? I hope it gets better real soon.
Pumping is definitely not fun. I loved nursing Dayna but pumping not even a bit. Let me make a suggestion though when I was nursing my nipples used to get real sore so I used to use this cream called “Purelan 100” literally every time I fed Dayna or pumped. I am so thankful that I had that. It was a life saver.
Positive Healthy Vibes for you and twins!!!
Cathy: It’s pretty early for Joey to start walking but if he is holding on to furniture and making effort it’s only matter of days he make a run for it :). That’s how Dayna started. It’s so cute to watch them run around but definitely lot of work. I feel like I can’t keep up with Dayna.
Jennifer: Still on BCPs, wait kills you doesn’t it? :)
Yeah it’s so cute once they start talking. That’s a pretty big sentence for your little lady at 11 month old I would say. How cute! I bet she is talking lot more now. Dayna doesn’t say sentences or I should say she doesn’t say sentences that I understand. Sometimes she just looks at me and talks as if she is trying to tell me something and it’s hilarious. She makes face expression and everything LOL.
I should get back to work

Shells- I will keep Jillian and Jayson in my thoughts and prayers. I hope they will start to gain weight more rapidly and their breathing will improve soon. I can definitely feel your pain with the (.)(.) issue. How often are you pumping? Does your hospital have a room that you can stay in overnight once in a while? How far do you live from the hospital? I hope to hear from you soon, and I hope it's all good news. Oh, and I agree with Mon on the Pur Lan!

I am doing good. Hailey started her Pre-K, she is going to Kindergarden next year. My laptop is broken but I can't wait to send you a picture of her. She is such an amazing daughter. Mon- How are you
Hello everyone. Boy our thread has slowed down!
Hello Ladies: How are you all doing? With moving, finding daycare, finding renter for our current Condo, and work things have been as crazy as possible for us.
I found a perfect daycare for Dayna. It's just beautiful and teachers seemed real nice and friendly. All the room in the daycare were huge with high celilings and murals. Beautiful! Best part is it's less than 2 miles from new place. So if I miss Dayna I can pick her up any time :). It's going to be hard not having her home during the day. Not that I can play with her all day when I am working from home but it's nice to be able to go give her a cuddle and kiss.
I just hope she adjusts to daycare environment. I think it will be good for her to get out there and play with other kids.
Dayna actually has cold for couple days now so along with everything that's going on I have a sick baby who's not sleeping. I am tired for sure.
Shells: How are twins feeling? Don't worry they will start gaining weight soon. How long are you allowed to visit them? I hope they will get healthy enough to come home with you soon. I can't wait for you to take their pictures.
How's your incision looking? I hope better!
Jennifer: It's defineltely cute to watch kids learn to speak. No full sentence for Dayna yet. Just random words. Yesterday she said remote very clearly. I saw that one coming though. She is obsessed with remote control and phone.
How are twins doing? How much longer for BCPs?
Cathy: How's little Joey doing? He looks so adorable. He is definitely the cutest in the bunch! Is he walking now?
Alona: Welcome back friend! It's always good to hear from you. I am glad that you found a surrogate mother. I truly hope and pray that it works for you.
I would love to see Hailey's picture when you get a chance.
Hope every one is well!

The embryologist just called we decided that we are going to thaw all 5 embryos and then let them grow until the next stage. Then we will take the survivors and transfer them.

Hi girls,
well first im sooo tired!!! and there not even home yet..
we go visit them every day, i hate leaving but am so tired i have to.
jillian has NEC (the start of it) and is being treated for it now its an infection of the bowels she had alittle blood in her stools 4 times so they take her off breast milk and she'll be fed by a pic line they call it...
but they couldnt get it in they tried 5 times so she has to go get another line put in surgically. and they will feed her again in 10 days.
jayson is doing fine (knock on wood) he is getting big he hit the 3 lb mark last night! I think he'll be like daddy (they used to call daddy little poopa) so i have been calling jayson that.
I will tell you this is sooooo stressful, one day everything is fine then the next thing its something...
but they will be 4 weeks sunday (32 if still inside) and they are sooo cute, i just love them sooo much.
i hope you are all doing good ill read later i have just been soo busy or tired.
talk to you soon,
michele

Shells- It won't be long and your sweet little ones will be home in your arms!!!
Shells: HUGS! I can't even imagine how stressful it must be to go through this roller coaster. I bet you feel drained. I know for sure you would feel so much better once you are home. Now not only have to take care of them you have to go back and forth. And hospitals have way to make you feel tired. I am praying that both Jayson and Jilian feel better real soon. I am so glad that Jayzon hit the 3lbs mark that's huge. Don't even worry about replying to me I am just happy to get updates about you and twins. You have more than enough to worry about. HUGS!
Jennifer: So they are thawing out all five. How many are you planning to put in? You excited it's finally moving forward. When does this process start?
Dayna still has cold and cough. And now she gave me whatever she had so I am not feeling well either. I am so glad that it's weekend at least. Hopefully will get some time to rest up and recover.

Mon- They are thawing all 5. I asked for them to put 3 back. If some miracle happened and they all survive I will have to check on our options.
My DD had a 103 + temp for three days. I had her in the ER twice. The fever finally broke on Thursday and all of a sudden she broke out in this crazy rash. She is covered from head to toe in spots. I took her in for a recheck yesterday and they said she has Roseola. SHE IS VERY CONTAGIOUS! So we are homebound for 7 more days!
Poor little lady keeps holding her head so we are assuming she is having headaches. She is so tired and miserable.
Jennifer: Sorry that your little lady is feeling so sick. Dayna had the exact same thing on her birthday when we had to take her to ER. What's interesting is that they never told us that it was contagious. Neither DH or I caught from her either. It's scary how high a fever this virus can give you. I hope she feels better soon.
It sucks when kids are not feeling well. Dayna is still recovering from her cold.
Putting 3 embies in I think is perfect. Are you still on BCPs?
Shells: How are you and twins doing?
Cathy: How are you and Joey feeling?
DH and I were out at a wedding last night so I am real tired today. We had such a great time. Just hanging out and dancing all night. It's real nice to get some alone time every now and than. :)
Have a great Monday ladies!

Jennifer: Did you get your meds outlined for you yet?
Shells: How are you feeling? How are Jayson and Jilian? I hope gaining weight and getting healthy for htier Mom and Dad every day.
Cathy: How are you and Joey feeling?
I am feeling tired today. I still have cold and cough Dayna gave me and it's just not going away.

Jennifer- I'm so excited and nervous for you! I hope this cycle works for you especially after all you've done for other families.
Mon- We're doing pretty good. He didn't seem to have any side effects from his shot, so that's a relief.
Shells- How are you and the babies doing?
Well, Joey is now 9 months and weighs 19 pounds and measured 29 inches at the dr, so we got him a new car seat. I think he likes it because it is higher up so he can see out the windows more. I can't believe how big he's gotten. We were hoping to make it longer with the infant carrier, but such is life. Nothing else going on here really. Just watching Joey grow. He stands on his own and is cruising more and more every day.
I hope to hear from you all soon!

hello ladies,
We are all doing fine, jayson and jillian are getting bigger
jayson weighs 3lbs 14.9oz
jillian weighs 3lbs 8 oz ( she had NEC a bowl infection so they had to stop feeding her breast milk and just iv) but they had trouble getting an iv in so they needed to do a little surgery to put in a central line,) poor thing,
i got to hold them both yesterday it was really nice
I think jayson looks like daddy and jillian im not sure so probably me??
but i just wanted to check in and let you all know we are doing fine.
and we are getting there room together now.
and of course i cant decide on colors (even though we bought light blue and light yellow) i was doing the yellow on top.
but now we decided to get a new rug and i really like this light green rug and now i dont think those colors will match.!!!!!! so yah im going crazy!
my shower is the end of the month so that should be fun.
How can i send you all pictures?

Shells- I'm so happy to hear that the twins are doing well! It sucks that Jillian had to have a central line put in, but at least she's getting what she needs. It won't be long before they are home! How exciting. Good luck with the room colors, we had a hard time with that too. As for the pictures, I use www.photobucket.com it's free and easy to use. I can't wait to see pics!!!!!!!

hi Jenifer,
oh, i am praying for that FET to go well. babydust!!!
as for potty training, i gave it up last november because CJ's daycare would not follow through with instructions and he had to go potty in his diaper. this made for tons of fights with him at home, i got frustrated and quit altogether. i have only recently brought out the potty again and he just wants to sit on it:rolleyes:
how about you? did you venture there yet? i really missed you guys. i need to see new pics of the twinks. i am trying to post new pics of CJ. he is a chatty lil fellow who goes nuts for 'blues clues' (aside from elmo, barney, teletubbies, baby einstein and little einstein). he wakes up shouting 'a clue, a clue....right there'! i have banned those dvds for a while:) he sees clues in every corner of the house!
then of course, he starts to climb out of his crib so i converted it to a toddler bed and he loves climbing up his stepstool to got to bed (though for a few nights, he'd come right out and start crying at the door until i shoo him back to bed)!
so much with me! i finally took my bar exams in july...it was terrible. i get the results next month! i'm so scared...!
anyway, i better stop hogging the thread.
love you all,
China & Christian Jr.

China- I can't believe how old CJ is! It seems like just yesterday! I can't believe the daycare wouldn't honor your wishes as far as potty training goes. I would be quite angry. I hope he decides to do more than just sit on the potty soon! I must say I would much prefer Blue's Clues to Barney. Barney is banned from our house, though the only thing Joey watches right now is Sesame Street. I have yet to get any videos of stuff yet. Anyway, we've missed you and can't wait to see pics of CJ! Have you seen the recent pics of Joey? He is at joey.novass.net I have to take more recent pics because in the past few days his face has started looking more toddler-like and less babyish:( I'm already losing my baby! Definitely ready to have another one:) Try not to mention it to dh though, he's kind of freaked that I really want another one right now:D
Jennifer- How's the regimen going so far? I really hope it works for you!!!!!! How are the kids? Do you have any recent pics?
Shells- How are the babies?
Mon- Are you feeling better yet? Did you call the dr? I hope you are 100% soon!
Joey took one step on his own last night and then plopped down. I was so excited about it, dh was right there, but was too busy reading about our fish to see it. Oh, and Joey is quite the climber. He can climb the steps effortlessly, and the other day in the matter of seconds he climbed on top of his rocking horse and started rocking back and forth while standing on it. Luckily he managed to sit himself down without falling. I can tell I'm definitely going to have my hands full when he starts walking, though he moves pretty quickly already.
I'll talk to you later!

whoa Cathy! Joey sounds like a handful...let me assure you that you are in trouble....so savor the moments where he happily seats in his stroller when you are out and about! you defintely have a climber on your hands.
i am off to help Dh pack for a business trip, or else he'll leave all imp. stuff behind;)

China- For now he stays in the stroller, he likes it actually, however, as soon as I unbuckle him in the carseat he starts climbing out. He's been doing that for at least a month. I think this has to be the most frustrating time with him, he is getting into everything and at least 10 times a day we have to try to fish something out of his mouth. Luckily right now he is taking his second nap of the day! Our doorway between the living room and dining room is too big for a gate, so I finally got frustrated enough that I pushed the loveseat over to the doorway and the part that isn't blocked I blocked off with a card table. Otherwise I can't sit for more than 5 minutes before I have to go in the kitchen to see what he is into. All this and yet I still want another!:p I have always loved kids and if you had asked me last year how many I wanted I would've said 2 maybe 3, but now I want 3 maybe even 4. When dh heard that he nearly passed out. For awhile he has said 1, 2, snip, snip. We'll just see about that:D Where is dh going for his trip? Hopefully the weather will be good for him!
Talk to you soon!

Cathy,
Dh is going to chicago...so he'll be freezing.....ha!ha!! he's mad about it...but has already committed himself.
as for kids, we definitely pray for 3! even though Dh keeps acting as if CJ is enough of a handful;)
i want to cycle next year, but Dh wants to wait a bit...no way! we will cycle next year by God's grace, amen!
btw,
try this link below for wider gates. i was able to get the evenflo soft and wide gate to block off the kitchen/living area (but i had to use the freezer to make the space smaller and easier to wedge the gate as the space was much too wide to fit gates)!

Good Morning Ladies: How are you all doing? It’s been crazy for me since last Wednesday. First I still have real bad cough for more than a week now. It hurts to even talk and on top of that my Nanny didn’t show up on Thursday with no warning which is not like her so first I thought that she had an emergency but after multiple attempts of trying to reach her I came to the conclusion that she ditched us for another family because she knew that we will be letting her go end of this month anyway. I was so upset but than she finally called back on Friday afternoon and she did have an emergency. Long story but I am just glad that she is back otherwise it would have been a long long month.
On a good note Dayna has learned where her eyes, nose, ear, and mouth is. It’s so cute when you ask her where her mouth is she opens it up and if you ask her where her nose is she literally sticks her finger in her nose and laughs. I tell you she learns a new word every day.
Shells: Good to hear that Jayson and Jillian are getting big. Getting nursery ready is so much fun but also stressful because you want it to be perfect. Now that we are moving I am trying to decide on what to do with Dayna’s new room. I am not sure if I want to get another mural done. I spent lot of money in her current room with mural and everything. We will see. I am in the process of picking colors right now. Let me know what you end up with. I would love to see your nursery pictures once you are ready to share. Of Course pictures of Jayson and Jillian in it.
China: I can’t believe you are back. So good to have you back! How’s little CJ? Dayna is only one and I constantly think about potty training her LOL I tell you once they start eating solids changing diapers take completely new turn for sure. Not that I need to tell you that.
I am going to make final decision on whether I want another child or not next year as well. If I have anohter one it has to be next year otherwise no go for me. So may be we can cycle together :). We will see.
Jennifer: So you started your meds, right? What’s the protocol this time? How are you feeling? Positive Vibes for you!
How are twins doing? I bet talking away.
Hope every one is well!

Shells- I'm so happy the babies are gaining well! From what I understand don't they send all preemies home on monitors? I don't think you will have a hard time getting them. So why does your family have to wait until May? That seems like a long time! When do they think you'll be able to bring them home? I'm sure you will do just fine and your family will understand if you don't want them coming over a bunch. It would be alright for them to come in small groups as long as they aren't sick and thouroughly wash their hands right? You will do great once they are home! How old are they now? I will e-mail you sometime tonight!
I hope you are all doing well! Joey weighed 9lbs 12oz today! He gained 3/4 of a pound in a week and a half. I can't believe how fast he's growing. What are you guys dressing your little ones as for Halloween? Joey is going to be Roo and I'm going to be Kanga. I will post pics as soon as his costume is done.
I'll talk to you all later!
Cathy
Shells: Jayson and Jillian sounds like good weight now. How exciting! I know it’s pretty normal for premies to be not exposed to many people for first 6 months or so. I have a friend who’s twins were born very early even earlier than Jayson and Jillian and none of her friends or family were allowed to visit the babies till their first birthday. Most people are pretty understanding of that and if they are not than they just have to deal with it. I think the main reason is that even though you may not be sick you could still be carrier of viruses and stuff. If I were you I will be pretty strict about it regardless of how guilty your family may make you feel. Families are usually good like that. I know that twins can't get flu shots till they turn 6 month so make sure you and your DH get one. I had to do that last Fall.
Yes, it’s going to be a wonderful Christmas with twins in your arms.
All the colors for twins room sounds beautiful. I bet you would do great job putting it all together don’t worry about it.
I will send you e-mail at your address. I can’t wait to see the pictures :).
Cathy: Are you making the costume yourself? I don’t think I will have a chance to dress-up Dayna on Halloween. We are closing on October 31st. It’s going to be one busy week to worry about that. I am thinking she is too little for candy any way. Next year :).
Jennifer: How are you doing? How are twins doing?
China: How are you and CJ doing? You should post some pictures of him. I would love to see how much he has grown since I last his pictures. I bet he looks like a big boy now.
Hope every one is doing well!

hi Shells!!
i am so glad the twins are doing well and gaining weight. what a special christmas you guys will have. just be ready to have practically no sleep for a while though. the nursery sounds great...i love the colors.
Cathy,
CJ is going to be a doctor this year. i ordered an outfit for a bargain and bought him this really cute elmo doctor's kit (complete with case)! his dad will be so happy to see him in scrubs....he'll look so cute!:D last year he was an adorable lil tigger! he did not have any candy last year...but he'll have one this year (i always have an emergency stash in his diaper bag for unforeseen meltdowns while we are out shopping)!
Mon,
awww...please please dress Dayna up in something!!! she'll look adorable and you know it!
ok,

China- What great pictures. CJ has gotten so big!
Mon- I'm ok. We just got another bill in the mail from the RE. They added on a $$ to my upcoming FET because of the protocol change and now we are scrambling to come up with it or they will cancel my FET. IF they can cel it I will be mad. I have been taking lupron and northindrone. My lupron was a day late because of the pharmacy and now this. IT seems like everytime I schedule my FET something gets in the way of me having it done.
I almost feel like there must be a reason it keeps getting delayed. IT is so frustrating.

Mon- Yeah, I'm making his costume myself. I'm still hoping to find the fabric to be able to make a Tigger costume for dh. I'm gonna call Joanne's tomorrow. We were originally going to close on our house on Halloween, but it got pushed back a week and we didn't close until November 6. You should still dress Dayna up even if you can't take her out. We wouldn't have to worry about that here because for some reason unbeknownst to me they do trick or treating on the friday or saturday before. Weird I know.
China- I can't believe how big he is now! My dh would probably be happy if Joey wore scrubs too since he works at the hospital and is going to school to be a nurse, but maybe another year.
Jennifer- I'm so sorry you have to go through all of this! How frustrating and how dare them do that to a woman on hormones! I hope everything works out for you.
Shells- I forgot to e-mail you! I'll try to do it now.
Talk to you all soon!
Cathy
Jennifer: That’s horrible, so not only they increased the price without giving you warning and now they are telling you they may cancel the cycle if you don’t pay them on time. That’s very heartless of them I would say. You would hope people in places like these are little considerate of the emotions people go through this during this process. I am sorry they are stressing you out. That’s not something you need when you are going through a cycle. I hope everything falls in places for you. Positive Vibes for you!
China: Now you are making me feel bad :). Ok I will go get something to dress her up. I will try to figure it out this weekend :).
I love CJ’s pictures. How big is he now! He looks too cute! Thanks you for sharing.
Cathy: You can really sew, can’t you? WOW! A full size tiger costume, that’s lot of work I bet. I would love to see pictures once you are done.
As for me, I got in an accident yesterday. This old person who was driving in the outside lane decided to make left from outside lane and didn’t see me in mid-lane and slammed in to me. Totally ruined my brand new Truck.
I am not happy about it but at least no one got hurt.
Now on top of all the work I am doing for moving I have to worry about getting my truck fixed.
I should get back to work now.

Mon- Joey's costume wasn't too bad, I just got a pattern for pj's and then free handed a hat, made some ears and sewed them to the hat, and then free handed a tail. I have to check into fabric for a Tigger costume still, but if I manage to find it and make one I will definitely take pics.
