Hi I am having my 4th Wenesday. Did you do follistim this time too? Have you done a sonogram yet to see your eggs?

How many and what size is good? Would really appreiated the company. keep you guys in my thoughts and lots and lots of babydust.O yes. It is my first IUI.MF our problem.
Baby dust and lots of luck!

aidianliam-I am doing Follistim again this cycle. Last time they increased my dosage after 1st sonogram, but this time we are staying the same (75ui). I think my eggies are growing a little faster this time. ?? Went in yesterday for CD8 sonogram and had an 11, 14 and 15 (other smaller ones, of course). So the nurse said that I need to go back Wed. for next BW and sono but we would probably do it fri or sat. Do these numbers look good? Oh....my levels were 212. ??
Jada-I think your numbers look good, but maybe aidainliam will help us. I know the doctors want the size to be around 20-22 when you O and they grow every day so I think you're in good shape! Are you doing a trigger shot? Is that what menegon is.....not familiar with that.
Hi
Menogon is an injection, not sure if it works the same as clomid. Was on clomid day3-7. Injections, day5,7,9,10,11,12. He phoned this afternoon and said the my FH Level still low, will have to go and see him tomorrow morning. I suppose if my level is still low that means I might not get the trigger shot tomorrow. Are you only using Follistim. Is that an injection? Do you also have to go in every time for a scan or are you doing it with OPK's? I really hate this stage. Have to run from work every morning.....People start asking questions. Do you have any experience?
Stay in contact!

Follistim is an injection. I think it works similar to Clomid except instead of producing ALOT of eggs it produces strong, mature eggs. (That is my understanding......). Clomid worked for me in the fact that I produced several eggs. I got pg on my 4th round of clomid (oral..not injections and not IUI). Had miscarriage, so my RE thought if we did Follistim and IUI we would create the perfect situation. He thinks that the eggs that were getting fertilized were not quite mature enough before I O'd.
I go in twice while doing this for scans. CD8 they check the progress and then I'll go in tomorrow to see if we're ready for the trigger shot. We don't use OPK because we are going to induce ovulation. We are also told to BD tonight in case of early O and then we'll be covered if we do IUI on Fri or Sat. Then we'll probably BD again then day after IUI in case of late O. We're covering ALL bases this time. I feel positive about this one!

Jada-please ask them to check your uterine lining at your next scan. Last month I did a half injectable/half clomid cycle and got preg but the baby could not attach properly because the clomid had thinned my lining out too much. I understand what you mean about running from work and going to the docs every other day-it sucks! Everytime i say to myself, please let this be the last month I have to do this!
Lady- Eggs groe 1-2 a day so if you have a 11, 14, and a 15 then by Thursday or Friday they could all be 20-24. Are your eggs on one side or on both sides (right or left)?
As for the eggs- Dr like 18-24 (20-22 is best) Anything over 24 is too mature and anything less than 18 is too small. You only release eggs from one side (which ever side has the most dominant follicles). So you could go for your scan and see 6 but all six will not be released. Yesterday on my scan, I had 2 20s on the left side. I took the trigger last night and will get the iui tomorrow.
Our problem is male factor, so it all depends on dh's sperm after wash. I hope it will be enough. Last time it was 21 mmil (which is wonderful for us) and the stupid clomid thined my lining. I just hope its more than 10mil.
Pokey-I just noticed you are in VA too. Where from?
ladybug14
03/14/2006, 02:25 PM
aidianliam-the two biggest ones are on the right side. the 11 is on the left. will go back in tomorrow morning for next sono.

I am in newport news. I did live in Harrisonburg for awhile. Are you excited about ivf? I so wish we could afford it instead of wasting time on these iuis.

03/14/2006, 10:39 PM
Ah, very familiar with Newport News, I grew up on the other side of the Bay. Love it down there.
I am excited although very worried about ER/ET. ER I think I'll be okay with since I get to sleep through the whole thing. I did an IUI a few months back and I am dreading the ET as I'm not a big fan of the speculum. The nurse did tell me that I could get a valium before the procedure, so hopefully I can sleep through that one as well.
I'm still not convinced that any of this will work - I just can't see myself pregnant. If in fact that I do get pregnant, I'm not sure I'll know what to do with myself as I've spent so much time on just trying to get pregnant - I haven't even thought of the next step.
So girls
CD13, here I am. went in for the scan this morning. 3, sizes: 21,19,14. If they all have to be in the 20-22 range, then this is not to good. He gave me the HCG injection, need to take it at 3 this afternoon. Insemenation, tomorrow & Friday. Then it will be the dreadful 2WW. If I feel like this already..Whats gonna happen in the 2WW.
Anycase, keep us posted and good luck to everyone. Thx for the support.

Jada-remember that your eggs will continue to grow until O. So if you have another day or two they will grow bigger. I think your numbers look good. What did your doctor say? Was he/she optimistic? You have to have positive thoughts! I've been talking to my ovaries, uterus, eggs......everything! Tell them what you want them to do. Sounds corny, but I think it'll work!:D
Good luck!!! BABY DUST and POSITIVE THOUGHTS/PRAYERS!!!!
A-are you doing yours today as well???
I can't believe we are all about to be in the 2WW! We can do it!!!!!!!!!!:p
Hi Ladybird
So I phoned me RE at 1, told me that LH is up and need to come in this afternoon already. So my first insem will be this afternoon. I am so scared. Is it sore, what do they do..how long does it take and how long must I stay? I must admit, I feel very scared now..It was as If I prepared myself for 2morrow and now he calls and say,,no this afternoon. Please keep me in your prayers..And another thing..My poor colleage had to give me the trigger shot. I could not wait for my husband..She was terrified, but I am proud of her. Keep you guys posted.
Lots of Babydust!

Jada.....wow! That is great news. Don't be scared. It is not painful at all!!! It's just as easy as a PAP. I'm saying a prayer for you right now.
A-just got back from doc. I have a 21 on right and 17 on left. He said that I will O both sides b/c of meds. Normally you O from one side, but not with meds. You O the mature eggs.......normally one side has the dominant eggs. ??? What do you think about my #s. Looks like I'm doing it Friday. Are you going in this afternoon??
BABY DUST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Ladybird
The numbers looks very good. Good luck for tomorrow. I on the other hand got the triggershot yesterday at 1:30pm and IUI at 5. And another this morning at 9. I hope that the timing is nt out. Because I heard about 12 hours agter shot and then 36 hours. Mine was 3,5 hours and then 18 hours. I am now officially in the 2WW and it is dreadful.I am analysing every twinch...and our sperm was count: 20 and morph: 98. Does this look good. Have no idea what it should be. When can I start testing for first time?
Lots of questions..Good luck again Lady bird and everyone..keep us posted. Maybe it will speed up the 2WW.
Take care and lots of babydust!

Its just so depressing. Last month dh had like 22mil and this month only 8? What the hell? I know it possibly still could work but im still not getting my hopes up. When can you test?
Pokey
03/16/2006, 01:50 PM
I don't remember the #s, but DH's counts were ok but marginal when we did the SA. However, when I did my IUI his counts were great (act. very good per my RE :) ). Not sure what affects it...
Not sure yet when I can test, I gather I'll find out on Monday when they do the ET.
ladybug14
03/16/2006, 02:20 PM
A-don't be upset. I think anything around 10 count is good. Did your RE say anything about the numbers being "low"?? Last time we did it we had 9.6, and they said it was still good.
Update on me......went in AGAIN this morning for sono and the one on the right is 24 and the one on the left is 18. Taking trigger shot tonight and doing IUI Sat. morning. Is it OK that there are only 2 eggs...although good in size??
Pokey-GOOD LUCK!!!!!
Jada, where did you go??

03/16/2006, 02:31 PM
Hey-I just wanted to stop in and say Good Luck to all of you ladies with you IUI's! I hope this does the trick for you!
I just got my BFP on my 3rd IUI but first time on injectables. (Lupron, Gonal F, Odrivel and premetrium) My lining was a little over 8 and I believe I had two good follies but they were on the smaller side of what they consider good. I triggered on a Monday night, had the IUI on a Tuesday morning, and we bd'ed on Wednesday night-I am pretty sure I O'd on Wednesday.
Please let me know what happens with you all. I just thought you would like to know that it can happen and it will happen!
ladybug14
03/16/2006, 06:17 PM
Thanks Shannon! I think we can all use the encouraging words......
A-how long had it been since ya'll bd before the IUI?? We were told to wait several days in between so there will be lots of little spermies. Does that even affect the outcome of the number after washing??
aidianliam
03/16/2006, 08:49 PM
Re says dont bd for 48 hours prior. We bded Sunday night, iui wenesday, and we bded this morning. We did the same thing last month. I am trying to find out if we should give it another go tonight.
Lady-2 is good. I had 2 as well and i know tons who get preg with 1.
Well i took a preg test today just to make sure i did the trigger right. I did the trigger myself this time. Its weird acutually seeing those 2 lines. I kinda wanted to keep it...lol.
Hi
Aidan - What does the dbl line of the peestick have to do with the trigger shot. Excuse if I sound ignorant.
Ladybird - Your numbers look brilliant. A 24 is very good..And I also only had 2 good ones...Here I am...waiting..
Girls..thinking about you all and lots of babydust. Cant wait to get a positive from someone..
ladybug14
03/17/2006, 10:25 AM
A-I would bd again tonight just to make sure you got it all covered! I think we were told to bd the 2 days following IUI.
I go in tomorrow morning!!!!:D I have a really good feeling for all of us! We HAVE to think positive and act pregnant!!!
I guess I'll head to the $ store to get a couple of (dozen) test!!!!

Aidianliam- I know just how you feel with DH's numbers. It can be so frustrating! However, I got pregnant with DD when DH's post wash was 8 million. As my RE said, it only takes one!
Pokey- It looks like we are on the same schedule! I had ER yesterday and will have ET on either Sun or Tuesday depending how the fertilization goes. They are supposed to call me and let me know today, so I've been sitting around waiting. Hopefully they'll call soon! Hope your ER went well and that you can rest up!
Hope you guys don't mind me joining! It looks like we'll all be 2wwing together!

Char,
I had meant to post something earlier as I remembered there was someone else on the same schedule as me and I couldn't remember who. I am scheduled to have my ET on Monday.
I am home from my ER today. It was really a breeze. I felt a bit of pain from the anestetic (like arm going to sleep) and then I woke up and they said it was all done. I had a bit of cramping after the pain meds wore off, they gave me ibuprofen and I feel fine. I've been told to take it easy, but I really want to do stuff. I'm a bit woozy - not sure if its from the meds or the fact that I woke up this morning at 5:30am.
So, I'm relegated to the couch for most of the day. Not a bad thing since I'm a basketball fan. My DH has been a doll - he's at the store right now picking up a few things and my meds (they are giving me valium for ET - yippee!). I already told them that I wanted the anestesiologist for the ET - that was great. He actually didn't pass out when they taught us about the prog. shot - that will be another new exciting adventure tomorrow!
pokey
aidianliam
03/17/2006, 11:47 AM
Jada- When you take the trigger it makes preg test come up positive for 10 days. Thats why re's tell us not to test early because the positive test could be from the trigger shot.
Char-thanks for the encouragement. What were your dh's numbers like the other iui's?
Pokey- Good luck!
charlotte98
03/17/2006, 08:10 PM
It's official, ET will be Tuesday. As of 1 pm today we have 22 little embryos hanging out at the lab. The embryologist says that they are all good quality, so hopefully we can get 2 great blasts by Tuesday!
Aidianliam- DH's numbers were always very low. I think that once a few years ago he had 25 million, but for the most part he's under 10. Last Jan he came up a 1.9! They were definitely better when we were TTC#1, and seem to have gone pretty far downhill in the past few years. It's just so crazy. Anyway, good luck with your IUI, it sounds like you did everything that you could to make sure the boys are in the right place at the right time! Will you be testing early or waiting for your beta?
Pokey- I'm glad that your ER went so well! I am defintely still feeling it in my ovaries, so I'll take it easy this weekend. When is your beta? Mine will be on April 30 (2 weeks after ER), so I hope we get BFPs together! I'm jealous about the valium. I guess I be going in stone cold sober. How depressing.
Have a great weekend ladies!

03/18/2006, 11:28 AM
Pokey and char-How exciting! I so wish we could afford ivf instead of wasting time on these iuis. Yes i will be testing early. At my clinic you dont get a beta unless you test positive. I ordered 25 20mui hcg strips off ebay and have already used one (to see about the trigger). I just wish i could fast forward to next Saturday.
ladybug14
03/19/2006, 04:38 PM
Well, looks like everything went off without a hitch yesterday. We had 12 million sperm and it looked as if I had O'd in the last 12 or so hours. Hoping we caught it in time! Has this happened to anyone else? My dr does a sonogram after IUI. We could actually see where the sperm was sitting in my uterus (not individual sperm, of course.....but the medium).
How is everyone doing with the 2WW?
aidianliam
03/19/2006, 06:32 PM
Lady-thats so cool your doc does a sono after the iui...i wish mine did! Your count was good, how many did you have last time? Did you see your eggs in the sono?
ladybug14
03/19/2006, 07:27 PM
We had 9.6 last time. We could see the eggs, but I think at least one had "ruptured". She said there was a little free fluid behind my uterus. ?? Not sure what that means, but I think she was saying that I had or was in the process of O. Do you know what this means? She said we timed it perfectly, but that's what she gets paid to say so I won't freak out.
How do you feel?? Are you on any supplements? I'm doing Prog. suppositories...ugh! They totally give me pg symptons which can be very confusing.
I go back Thurs for b/w and then back the following for beta.....not even 14 days pIUI. hmmm.... Maybe the doc has a good feeling, too! Hope so!

Char,
My beta is scheduled for 3/31. I didn't get valium for my IUI and I'm not a huge fan of the whole speculum thing. The nurse mentioned that next time I could get valium. I have never taken valium before so we'll see how loopy it makes me feel. I can take one or two prior to the procedure.\
I can't believe that you have 27 eggs - wow! No wonder you are sore. I only got 6 and of those 5 fertilized (which is enough - but not enough to freeze).

03/19/2006, 09:25 PM
Lady- I take protrimetrim (progestrine in pill form) and it makes me pretty loopy as well. I have kind of givin up on analyzing my symptoms cause every month I think im preg then i find out im not. I see we had our miscarriages around the same time. Didnt you think youd be preg again by now? I sure thought i would be.
ladybug14
03/19/2006, 09:54 PM
yep..thought for sure I would AT LEAST be pregnant by now. I have had one due date come and go and another one coming up. ugh! I just have to remember that this is all in God's plan....which can sometimes be hard.
I took prometrium when I was having my first m/c...it made me feel CRAZY (literally)!
Did your dr mention anything to you about taking baby asprin? I'm taking one every night to thicken up my lining.
Hi girls
The wknd was terrible. No symptoms..nothing. Not too sure if it is a good or bad sign. Has anyone experiencing symptoms during the 2WW. Well, so I peed on a stick this Saturday...Just to check..Faint BFP..of course due to the HCG shot I took. Going for bloodwork Thursday and will do first test Sat. Anybody - give as an update!!The 2WW..SUCKS!

03/21/2006, 07:40 AM
I know it's depressing, but like I read on on of the other threads........it's not as bad as if we have been diagnosed with cancer. This is just a speed bump. This is going to be our month!!!! POSITIVE THOUGHTS!!!! (I know it's hard) When they did my iui, I literally closed my eyes and pictured the little guys swimming to my very large and mature egg and how happy they were when they met! Silly, I know, but I'm willing to try anything. I know you were upset with your numbers this time, but (not to sound too churchy) God can literally turn out the lights in this world at any second....He can definitely guide one of those little sperm in the right direction. We have to believe! Hope I didn't offend anyone.
I have had a little cramping the past couple of days....anyone else? Also, does the prog. supplement make you tee tee like crazy? I got up 3 times last night and I never do that!
Hi Ladybird
I completely agree, the only way to stay positive is to look at what we have and how blessed we are with our health. I agree, we do not have cancer..This is only a speedhump and that we are going to get there..Come what may..We have to believe..I must also say..It is not easy, but we must try..We have to put positive thoughts in our mind...A persons mind is powerful, what you think is likely to happen...
Here I am 6dPIUI, not feeling any symptoms..All I can do is pray for us all.
Hang in there....We have plenty to be thankful for and cling onto during this period!

Hi Aidan
Yes, today its 7DPIUI for me only. You are a day ahead of me, but I am sure we must have tested on the same time..I did test yesterday..To check for the shot...Yes it is out. It was only 6DPIUI. And...I am still writing tests at University this coming week and I need to study..It makes it a bit hard to concentrate. But as you say, now we must just wait for the dbl lines. O, ja..went for prog/prolactin bloodtest this morning..Will keep you guys posted on the results..Does anyone have an idea what good numbers for these should be.

Hey Jada. I went in for my bloodwork this morning, too. Anything over a 10 is good, but if you have been on meds they like to see at least a 15. I'm on prog. supplements and last time mine was a 40. It shows if you have ovulated and if your uterus is thick enough for the egg to implant. Let us know what it is!

Uck! Sorry you're feeling bad.
With the first one I had a bad feeling from the get-go (for whatever reason). I didn't want anyone to talk about it or anything. I didn't actually know I was m/c until my 7th week bloodwork. I had to have a D&C with that one. The second one I had such a good feeling about so I was absolutely shocked and devestated when I got my bloodwork back and nothing had doubled....again. That one passed on it's own. Still not sure which way was less traumatic. It was early with both of them, but it doesn't make it any easier. Although, I can't imagine seeing the heartbeat and then that happening. For some odd reason I just always had this weird feeling that I would have 2 m/c. Don't know if it's because my mom did and I just assumed I would too or if it's because all I have EVER wanted was to have babies and I just assumed that I would have a hard time. Because that was my greatest fear....it's almost like I knew it was going to happen. (Not in a spooky way..in a "well, if anyone is gonna have problems, it'll be me" way). Ya know?
This week has flown by and hoping next week will too.
My boobs are killing me, but they did this last time on the prog. Which stinks because that was how I knew I was preggies the other times. My boobs never hurt. I will welcome the sore boobs for 9 months........BRING IT ON!
I may be getting too personal, but do you know why you m/c at 14weeks? Did they ever find anything wrong? You don't have to tell me if you don't want to. I guess I didn't realize you were that far along until I just read your signature again. Yikes! I know that was heartbreaking.

Hi Girls
8DPIUI and counting. Well I got the bloodtest result back and dont know if I know what its suppose to tell me, but here are the numbers: Progesterone 81,3 nmol/l and Prolactin 10,9 nmol/l. Does that mean something to anyone. Please share with me.
Aiden - Are you still gonna test Sat if you are not sure whether the shot is out or not? I took another one last night..and it showed BFN, so I suppose the shot is out. When can I test, Sunday? Please let me know.
Lots and lots of babydust....hang in there and stay strong.

I tested today and no line so hopefully they shot is out. I buy preg tests in bulk so ill be testing everyday.
They never could give me a straight answer on why i mc but since then i found out i have factor v blood clotting disorder and have to take heprin injections 2x a day while ttc and preg. My mom also had it and she had 4 late mc as well. Something about the blood doesnt clot properly. It was heartbreaking that Monday i went in for a us and everything was okay they wanted me to come back friday to do a vaginal us to set my due date. Well on friday the xray tech just started looking funny, and i looked at her and i asked "Is it gone" and she said "Yes." It was horrible, everyone in the world knew I was preg. I had just purchased a maternity wardrobe. I never had been so upset in my life. No cramping or bleeding. I had a missed miscarriage. Which is when you and the baby both dont want to give up on each other. I got a d/c a week later and asked to see my baby and they let me.
Jada-when you test always use your first mornings urine because it is the strongest! I have no idea about the numbers...i dont get numbers..i just have to wait it out....

One more week until my Beta. I'm probably not going to test - might as well wait until next Friday - it won't change things one way or another.

Hi Everyone,
I've been out of the loop for awhile. It was too depressing to log in to Fertilichat when we couldn't start the IUI until April. (I lost my B/B twins in December at 16 wks.)
Aunt Flo just came today, so I think that I will be able to start my Follistim injections on Wednesday. Does anyone want to be my cycle buddy?

Sunny-what med regimn were you on when you got your bfp? How long did it take? Im just getting soooo discouraged. Af starts for me in about 6 days....I do follistem as well.

Hi,
We were lucky enough to get pregnant after our first IUI last August. I was doing 75 mg or mc or whatever they are of follistim/day. Our problem is that my dh has a low total motile. When we did the IUI, he had about 10 million washed sperm which was a good number.
When are you going to test? Where do you order your tests from?
aidianliam
03/27/2006, 01:04 PM
Already tested and bfn...I would have a faint line by now. Our problem is bad morphology. I order my tests off ebay 20mui-You get 25 for 6.99$. I do follistem as well...
iui1 -afterwash 5 mil
iui2-afterwash 6.4 mil
iui3-afterwash 22 mil (WHO KNOWS HOW THAT HAPPENED)
iui3-afterwash 8 mil
Good luck to you!

Oh, that sucks. I'm so sorry. :( I can't imagine being disappointed like that month after month. We live in MA, so at least our insurance pays for everything by law.
aidianliam
03/27/2006, 01:52 PM
Wah! We pay for everything. Follistim alone is over a grand a month. I hope you get right back preg. I have been trying like crazy since my mc and just can't seem to do it! Which makes you even more upset....

AidanLiam,
I can't believe that it would show up already. You are two days ahead of me and I'm not scheduled for Beta until Friday. At least you have been lucky enough to get pregnant. :)

Im just going by my last pregnancy it showed up 12dpo...and my cyclebuddys showed up 12dpiui so i just think something would show and im experincing no symptoms. So how was the ivf? What was the total cost? (If its not too personal) How many did you transfer? Did you do ICSC? Did you freeze any? Im thinking about taking out a loan and doing it next month as well i cant bare anymore bfn's.
Sorry for all the questions...

The IVF was actually pretty easy. In some respects it was easier than the IUI as you get more drugs to make you loopy :) I'm not experiencing really any PG symptoms except that my stomach has started bothering me as it normally does right before AF and I feel a bit of AF-type cramps which I don't normally experience until AF. Not sure what's a symptom or if its the PIO shots. Wed is 12 days from retrieval, so its a bit early for me to start testing.
My doc estimates about 15k for an IVF cycle. I don't have the cost information as my insurance covers IVF (3 cycles). Fortunately my DH works for an Illinois company which requires fertility coverage. They retrieved 6 embies - did ICSI on 1/2 of them. Of the 6, 5 fertilized (3 normal, 2 ICSI). So the good news is that we won't need to do ICSI again if this doesn't work. He also did Assisted Hatching on them. 4 were transferred. Unfortunately, not enough to freeze.

03/29/2006, 01:46 PM
No update as of yet for me - my Beta is Fri morning. I have no clue whether or not the IVF worked. I had heartburn and sore BBs early on - but I attributed that to the PIO shots. For the last day or so, my BBs are no longer sore. However last night I had a monster headache which caused me to be nauseous and was super tired (which is pretty much the standard for me if I get a bad headache). I laid down to take a cat nap at 5pm and pretty much slept through until 6am this morning. I still feel a bit woozy today. 2 more days and I find out....

Hey girls! I'm in the same boat as you, Pokey. I feel like I've had all the symptoms until today. Could be because of the prog. I tested this morning and BFN! I still have hope, though. I think it's way too early to tell. I'm only 11 day piui. I go in tomorrow for beta, though. I used First Response, so I don't know how accurate that would be. The only time I've gotten a BFP was after I missed my period. What do ya'll think? I do have lots of twinges, pulling, etc....down there. ??? I'm really saying a lot of prayers and keeping positive thoughts. Was hoping to get a BFP this morning so I could relax the next 2 days. Oh well! I can wait one more day to hear YOU'RE PREGGIES!!!! :D
Pokey...do your boobs still hurt AT ALL?? Mine do, just not as bad as last week. Why??
aidianliam
03/29/2006, 05:45 PM
Well girls I wish you the best. I hope you get your bfps! Today i am 14dpiui and af came! 7 days early! Good...Get my sono this Friday ..start injections. REs letting me call the shots back to back iuis or freezing dhs sperm to mix with his sample on iui day. We just gotta decide. This is it! Last hope...

Hey Sunny! I am so sorry about af. That little hefer. I am so happy that you have a clean slate, though. Although, I know not all is forgotten but sometimes we do feel like we're stuck in this hole and can't climb out. I'm proud of you.
But this is NOT your last hope.........
I get my beta in the morning. I am so nervous!!!! It seems like all my symptoms are GONE. ugh......
Not sure if you read my earlier message, but I tested this morning and BFN. I'm on 11dpiui. Do you think it could've been too early?? Also, I swear I felt implantation today...is it too late for that? I am obviously grasping at any straw that's left.
I told my mom this morning that I was sad because this could be the last day that I can at least "pretend" I'm pregnant. Ya know??

Oh Sunny! I am so sorry - although you did predict it a few days ago. This will be your month.
ladybug, my boobs really were sore last week - this week not so much. Other than being super-tired and a constant-slight headache....nothing. I've had some aversions to food (fish), but again its not that out of the ordinary. It was so nice tonight, I decided to take the dog for a walk around the block - I had a slight twinge in my side (lower) and it went away after a few. I think that I read somewhere that one of the first signs of pregnancy is a change in your boobs - so I keep looking for that - but again, nothing.
This is my first cycle with IVF and the PIO shots, so I'm not sure what I'm supposed to feel
ladybug14
03/29/2006, 07:50 PM
I've had lots of twinges and pulls, but I'm wondering if it's because my ovaries were so swollen because of inj. that they're just going back to normal. ?? Although, when I was preg the other 2 times...same pulling sensation. HOPING!!!!!!
I know the prog supp can make you have all the symptoms (sore boobs, etc..), but can't your prog level rise and fall throughout the day and vary on different days??
I'm saying lots of prayers for us right now........

Sorry to barge in, but I'm getting my 2nd IUI in the morning, am desperately hoping for BFP, but am prepared with injectables for next cycle if necessary. Trying to remain optimistic. And doing alot of praying! I'm praying for you all too and sending tons of baby dust your way!
BFP's to all of us!
Hi Everyone
Sorry for being so quiet, been bit hectic at work, and sorry to hear about AF Sunny. Hang in there. I said a prayer and thought about you in specific. As for me, no AF yet. Am due to test only Saturday. Will test tomorrow morning, and let you guys know. Symptoms.- breast are very sore and cramping so now and then. Keep praying. Lot of Babydust to us all.

Ok...tried to update this last night, but it was not cooperating.
After I went potty there was a slight brownish discharge when I wiped. This happened each time I went. I had a few af-like cramps, but I'm not due to start until Monday. I am NEVER early or late. I'm to-the-day every month. Could this be implantation spotting? I am 12dpiui today. Going for beta this morning......so hoping the little eggie was just tucking in for a LONG 9 month nap!!! :p

That's wierd because I got none of that last time. Cycle was right on time and no spotting. Would I still be spotting even though it's been almost 2 weeks since I did the injections.......
Thanks for bursting my bubble..... :(

I started spotting yesterday and the re said that the spotting could be from the follistem...it does that and i could still be preg. But it wasnt...cause the spotting turned into flow.....Didnt mean to burst your bubble! Just wanted to let you know what my re said yesterday when i spotted.

Hi Girls
I test last night 14DPO, cause I could not wait for the morning, and there it was a faint BFP. I could not believe..I jumped up and down and my husband, He was ready to buy babyclothes at night. I am suppose to only test tomorrow again and call my RE with the result. He never sheduled a follow up. I am really cramping today. Is it a good thing or bad? And it the line not suppose to be darker by now? It is still light. Will it still be there in the morning??? What do I do from here..It is like I prayed for this to happen and now??? I just want to thank everyone for their support, and I mean all the answered questions. This experience was nothing less then a miracle for me. I want to encourage everyone...Please believe in your prayers...If we ask the Lord, leave it to him....He will deliver at the right time..Hope to see more BFP's soon!
Lots of Babydust! and Sunny...hang in there...There is nobody I am praying for more...It will happen!

 Got beta back yesterday and NEGATIVE!!!!! So dissappointed. Looks like we're moving straight to IVF in May. My re will not stim 2 months in a row. Taking this month off and on to something new......... Starting BC whenever af decides to fully kick in. Still brownish stuff. ugh.
JADA------let us know!!!! Congrats, girl! How refreshing....some good news. We can use it for sure!

Jada-Woohoo! Let us here those numbers girl!
As for me we are pulling out all the stops...Went to my 3dus today had 5 eggs-8,7,6,4,3.....dh will report monday to give a sample and have it frozen. Then we will do iuis two days in a row and they will add the frozen sperm to the samples for the iuis...
So...
If that doesnt work ill know weve tried everything we can and go to ivf.

Well - just got the call - BFN :(
I now get to stop the PIO shots and just wait for AF to show. My doc will allow me back-to-back cycles. So its up for us to decide what to do. I'd like to try again as this is my last shot to potentially have a baby before I turn 38 (gulp!). With that said, my whole family is coming to stay with me mid-April and they don't know any of what we've been going through. If we opt to move forward this cycle - we are going to have to tell them.
Any thoughts?

Go for it girl! I am so sorry...try it again! Beg your re for things you can do to hieghten your chances....youve just begun the battle.....there is still fight left in you!
Hi Ladies,
I am awaitng my AF but will start the process on cd 2. I am scared but excited. Any advice? Side effects?
aidianliam
04/02/2006, 06:10 PM
etg-what meds are you using? That makes all the difference in the world (clomid or injections?) Are you getting a trigger shot to pinpoint ovulation? Are you having back to back iuis or just 1?
There isnt really any physcial side effects but a lot of emotional ones when it fails. Most people dont get there bfp with number 1 so dont get too discouraged if #1 doesnt work. I was so happy to do iui cause that way me and dh cant screw it up!
Hi Everyone
I went for bloodwork..I am pregnant. HCG on 16DPO, 467. I think thats normal. This is nothing less than a miracle. I will go for scan next week Wednesday only...Cant wait..Should I share the news with everyone? OR should I wait..My husband cant keep quiet.
I just want to say thank you to everyone who supported and prayed for us..I am going no where, I will still be here keeping you guys posted. I am so excited. O yes and it was first time IUI success..It can happen!
Lots of babydust to all!

I was starting to show, but I told a lot of people right away. The second time around, I'm still going to tell my family and close friends because they know everything that I'm going through now. I will hold off on telling the neighbors and most of the people I work with, though. The mailman doesn't need to know. ;)

So you are saying that if you had a 20 and a 19 on one side and then 10- 19's and below on the other... that only the 20 and 19 would release an egg? What happens to the other side? I have never heard of this.
sunnyae
04/05/2006, 06:38 PM
Hi Merry,
I read that post also and was freaked out, so I called my RE's nurse. She said that while normally, you only release from one ovary, that is not the case with the fertility drugs, that we are overriding nature with the drugs. So, you will release eggs from both sides as long as the follies are large enough. I doublechecked with the RE yesterday and he said that that was correct.
Merry12
04/06/2006, 02:25 PM
I went yesterday to check my follies and had 13! Two days prior I only had 3 that were above 10 and now I have four 10's, five 11's two 12's and two 13's. I will probably trigger on Saturday or maybe Friday. I am not sure yet. I guess I will know more when I go in tomorrow and see how much more they have grown. It is going to hurt like hell when I ovulate! Then afterwards the cysts are going be painful. Wish us luck! I hope these suckers are growing like weeds!!!
sunnyae
04/06/2006, 02:37 PM
13--wow! And they are so close in size. I think that my RE would consider canceling the cycle with that many so close in size. He says that he looks for 2-3 good ones per cycle. What are you taking for meds again?
Merry12
04/06/2006, 03:22 PM
Yes, it is scary. I will know more tomorrow. There will probably only be five to seven leaders. That is how it was last time I did shots and IUI and it worked and I only was preg with one. Who knows. I guess time will tell. The doc and nurse say all is going very well so I will just trust them. I am taking 100 of follistim a day.
Good luck to you!!! I know the 2ww is a killer. I will be there soon.
aidianliam
04/06/2006, 08:24 PM
What cycle day are you on merry? I go back tommorow as well.
sunnyae
04/07/2006, 11:22 AM
So, Sunny. What's the verdict on your follies? I suppose they won't have your bloodwork results until this afternoon.
Merry12
04/07/2006, 12:37 PM
The day I went in I was on cycle day 9 and today I went in and that was CD 11. I have 15 follicles over 10 and two are 17, one is 16 and then seven are 14. I will wait and see what the doc says once they get my bloodwork back. I will probably do one more shot tonight and then trigger tomorrow and do IUI Sunday and Monday. (I think we are on the exact same cycle).
How did it go at your appt?
sunnyae
04/07/2006, 02:39 PM
That sounds good. I can't imagine why you wouldn't get a BFP with those numbers!!
Merry12
04/07/2006, 04:52 PM
Well, I am about to cry bc I have to take the HCG shot tonight bc they do no want all of the 14's turning into eggs. I feel slighted. I had such a good number and now I will probably just get three out of it. I was hoping for more like 5 - 7. Do you think I still have a chance? They say the follicles keep growing until you actually ovulate... so I could get a couple of those 14's to come on up and become eggs. I hope so. This stuff is so emotionally draining.
sunnyae
04/08/2006, 11:25 PM
Merry,
Your RE is being practical and safe. A good RE's goal is to have a singleton pregnancy and the safe number of mauture follies is 3-4. I was actually kind of worried when you said that you might not be triggering soon!! Can I ask how old you are? I think that the older you are, the more likely they would let you have more mature follies. But, I think you were just pregnant by IUI so there's a very good chance that it will happen again soon for you. When I got a BFP with twins, I had 3 follies on my trigger day that were 15, 16 and 17. So, there you go!! I'm praying for a singleton pregnancy; multiples are so high risk and I'd be an absolute basket case. When I got past my 1st trimester I thought I was in the clear, but I wasn't. I saw a recent post by a woman who was pregnant with twins and went into labor around 25 weeks, I think. The little boy died after 3 days and the little girl was still in the NICU after 2 weeks. Anyway, more is not always better, is what I'm trying to say.
theloo
04/10/2006, 02:19 PM
I agree with Sunnyae. Three is a perfect number! My doctor said that more than 4 and they consider cancelling my IUI and discourage BDing to avoid multiple gestations. I only have 1 mature follie, so I'm very jealous of your 3 big ones!
aidianliam
04/10/2006, 02:35 PM
Merry-what doses were you on? Thats some major eggs...3 is perfect!
Hi Everyone
I am back, sorry for the dissapearance for a while. I am still folowing the posts though. I went for a US today and it showed one sac. The doctor could look at heartbeats and stuff as it was too early.. I am about only 5weeks, I sound unthankful, but I so much hoped for two. I do not know why..I suppose because my husband had this crazy idea that he wanted more than one at once. I suppose it still early days...identical twins comes in one sack..I dont know why I am still holding my breath, my HCG at 17DPO was 460 and 2 days after that only 1200. That falls in the normal range..I suppose...My HCG levels would have shown if there were twins cooking...
Sunnyae, with your twins..were they in one sack or two?And HCG levels, was it very high...?
Any advice would be appreciated girls.
Thx guys.
