Hi Adrianne, I think if my IUI is unsucessful this cycle (monday), I will be getting IVF in February. We have already started the prescreening for it.

Great. Well I hope you are successful with IUI but if not we can keep in touch. I am starting my IVF at the end of Feb into March. I say March because that is when they would do the transfer. I have a doctors appt on Thursday to finish my testing. How much is IUI and IVF where you live. Do they put in 2 embroy's at your doctors office.

Adrianne- I am also doing IVF in March. Is this your first? I am on BCPs right now and starting Lupron on Feb 17th. My projected retrieval date is March 13th. When will you be starting Lupron? Since we are doing ICSI as well, the cost is $14k, and unfortunately, our insurance does not cover any of it, so we had to take out a home equity loan. I am hoping that they will cover our meds though, since we are supposed to have a lifetime benefit of $5k and we've never used it before. I just received my med list on Friday, and I can't believe how much and how many we have to take! My office also puts back 2 if it's a 5 day transfer, but will put back 3 on a 3 day transfer.

Hello,

No I have a doctors appoitnment on Thursday to talk about the IVF procedure and what meds I will be on. They are going to do 2 embryo's. Ours is 18000.00 with out meds. the meds are 3000-5000. Our insurance does not cover meds or anything so we are on our own. Is this your first IVF. It is mine. I will keep you up to date on stuff. If you want to e-mail me it is adriannepollock@yahoo.com

Yes, this is my first IVF. We did 5 IUIs to get DD, and 6 TTC#2. My meds came back at about $3700, so we are definitely hoping that insurance picks it up. This is the first time that we have had coverage for meds, so I am a bit skeptical. If it doesn't, I guess we'll just put it on the credit card. We only got 15k for the home equity loan, so it is all going to the actual procedure, and none left over for the meds. Let me know how it goes on Thursday!

Hi there,
I finally made it over to the new site. I have been trying to figure out how this all works, and I think I must be doing alright to make it this far. Daisy28 I am still waiting to start IVF protocol. I did my day 3 blood work on Sunday, and I will start synarel Feb 17th. I am trying to be calm, and think happy thoughts. I am anxious to get the ball rolling. I was approved my time off work, so I will be not working the month of March. My retrieval and transfer will be around the end of March. I would enjoy talking to people during this time, and I thank you for allowing me to do so.
