Hi-

Just wondering if anyone is in/ has been in this situation. I tried for 2 years with IVF to get pg with DD. Then, when she was 11 mos old, I had a positive HPT... found out in July 07 that it was ectopic- I was 6 weeks pg in my left tube (we hadn't been ttc at the time- I was still BFing DD). My OB treated me with metheltrexate (drug- no surgery needed- my tube was saved)... just had a 2 month follow up today- there is still something in the tube (not sure if it's scar tissue, or leftover material)- no BFP, but something still in there... I got 1 af, waited one cycle, got af, ttc las month, which was the "good" right side, but didn;t get pg. Now we wanted to ttc this cycle, but I think I am Oing on the "bad" (left) side this month, and I am afraid that I could get another ectopic. Anyone know what the risk of 2nd ectopic is with "stuff" still in the tube and having waited 2 cycles after tx? I have no history of ectopic, no IUD, no STD, no reason at all to have gotten the ectopic,.. just bad luck, I guess,,,... I really really want to ttc this month, as I really would love to be pg again, but I am scared of having another ectopic.... and i'm starting to think I may have a long road ahead...

I didn' have this problem.. but I just wanted to say that I am sorry for your loss.. and if you need anyone to just talk to.. I am here.. as are the rest of the gals on this thread...
I would say GO FOR IT.. your OB can keep you closely monitored if anything needs to be done, they will do it...

But i do understand your concern thats just human nature. I hope this next pregnancy is a successful one. I wish i could provide better advise but i've never experience an etopic...sorry hun. Let us know how things go.
